Will Smith’s Oscars controversy has been a ‘tragedy’ for his entire family

Will Smith

Will Smith’s onstage smack of Chris Rock during the 2022 Academy Awards has apparently been a “nightmare” for his family.

“It’s been a nightmare for everyone,” a source close to the family exclusively tells Us Weekly.

“Will knows the road to redemption is going to be a long and painful one, and there’s a part of him that’s grown to accept he’ll never be able to fully repair the damage that was caused.”

Smith’s family, which includes wife Jada Pinkett Smith, sons Tre, 29, and Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21, has stayed silent about the matter to avoid drawing even more attention to the situation.

“They know the best course of action is to stay tight-lipped,” the insider said. “The only healer is time.”

On March 27, the King Richard star whacked comedian Chris Rock on the 94th Academy Awards stage when he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head appearing in G.I. Jane 2.

While accepting the best actor Oscar for his performance in King Richard, the Philadelphia native apologised for his actions.

“I’m being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people,” an emotional Smith said at the time. “I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. … But love will make you do crazy things.”

The Gettin’ Jiggy With It rapper openly apologised to Rock the next day for his “unacceptable and inexcusable” outburst at the ceremony.

Prince Harry slammed over a ‘troubling’ belief that Netherlands is safer than UK

Prince Harry

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has decided to travel to the Hague shortly after stating that he would not be attending his grandfather’s funeral due to security concerns.

Former Met Inspector Ken Wharfe, who served as a protection officer for Princess Diana, Prince William, and Harry, told Mail Online that the Invictus Games’ ties to the military and soldiers imply Harry could face a bigger risk there than at the memorial.

He said: “I’m baffled about why Harry thinks he would be safer in the Netherlands than in the UK. He would have travelled to his grandfather’s memorial service with his brother or father and received protection from the Met. It’s not like he would have been turning up at Westminster Abbey on a bike’.

He added: “The Dutch police will be doing their own security assessments and liaising with Harry’s private security. But my view it is more of a risk to go to Holland to support a charity with a military link than coming to London last week.”

Meghan Markle advised to mend broken ties before it too late

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry must repair their connection with the royal family as Queen don’t have so much time.

Kinsey Schofield, a royal commentator, claimed to the Express, “I don’t think that there’s any room to heal at this point because there’s so much pushback from the Sussexes.

“I just feel like there’s so much animosity right now that they’re considered outsiders.

“We don’t have much time left with the Queen and I wish that he [Harry] would heal the broken wounds that are happening right now so that we can look in the future and one day hopefully see Harry and Meghan within the fold, maybe not working royals, but invited for holidays, invited for Christmas.”

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry are set to attend David and Victoria Beckham’s son’s wedding in Miami this weekend.

Harry will head to the Netherlands next week for the Invictus Games.

Prince Charles charity received £300,000 from a millionaire Putin supporter

Prince Charles

Prince Charles received a huge quantity of money from a Russian oligarchy that backs Vladimir Putin, according to reports.

The Prince of Wales charity received £300,000 from Viatcheslav Kantor, who is now sanctioned by the UK government.

In the same year, the Prince of Wales met with the millionaire at the World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem.

The anti-monarchy group Republic’s Graham Smith told the Mirror: “Charles has to sever ties with Russian money.”

Britain will stop importing Russian coal and oil at the request of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Gas imports will be halted “as soon as feasible thereafter,” according to the Foreign Office.

The actions are being conducted in response to Putin’s alleged “war crimes” in Bucharest.

Meanwhile, the Met is looking into Charles’ monetary dealings with Saudi contributor Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz through The Prince’s Foundation.

“The Prince of Wales had no knowledge of the alleged offer of honours or British citizenship on the basis of donation to his charities.” maintains the Clarence House.
