On September 24, in celebration of Daughter’s Day, Soni Razdan expressed her sentiments with a touching post on Instagram. She shared a collage of endearing photos featuring her daughters. The first picture captured a warm hug between Shaheen and Alia Bhatt in what appeared to be a cafe. The second snapshot showcased a charming selfie of Soni with her younger daughter, Shaheen. The final photo depicted a heartwarming family gathering, including Soni, Pooja Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Rahul Bhatt.

Soni’s caption conveyed her love and gratitude on Daughter’s Day and humorously mentioned Son’s Day as well, which often goes unnoticed. Soni Razdan’s affectionate post garnered a heartwarming response from her step-daughter, Pooja Bhatt, who expressed love and gratitude for having Soni in their lives. In reply, Soni playfully remarked about needing more photos together and suggested an exclusive photoshoot without the family. Pooja agreed and hinted at an “exclusive” photoshoot in the future.

Mahesh Bhatt, the veteran filmmaker, was previously married to Kiran Bhatt and has two children, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt, from his first marriage. He later married Soni Razdan in 1986, and together they have two daughters, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.

Pooja Bhatt Opens Up About Viral Photo With Dad Mahesh Bhatt

In 1994, Pooja Bhatt and her father, Mahesh Bhatt, were featured in a magazine cover photo that sparked controversy due to its display of affection. Pooja recently discussed this viral kissing picture and shared what Shah Rukh Khan once told her about showing affection.

During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja was asked if she regrets the viral kissing picture with her father. She responded, “No, because I see it very simply, and I think that unfortunately, what happens, a frozen moment can be represented and misrepresented in any way. And I remember Shah Rukh once told me that when you have kids, often the child asks the parents to give them a kiss. And they go this way. Even at this age, I’m still the same 10-pound kid for my father. He will always remain the same for me.”

She emphasized that it was an entirely innocent moment captured and has been interpreted in various ways. Pooja added, “It was an innocent moment captured which has been connoted in so many ways. People will do what they want to. I am not going to sit here and defend it. If someone can question a father-daughter bond like this, they are capable of thinking the worst.”

Pooja Bhatt is Mahesh Bhatt’s eldest daughter from his first marriage, and they also have a son, Rahul Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt later married Soni Razdan in 1986, and they have two daughters, Shaheen and Alia Bhatt.

Pooja Bhatt recalls being afraid to play her grandma in Zakhm

Pooja Bhatt played a single mom in Zakhm, and Kunal Kemmu essayed the role of her young son.
Ajay Devgn played the role of her grown-up son in the film that also featured Nagarjuna and Sonali Bendre.
She was terrified to take upon the responsibility of portraying a character based on her real-life grandmother.

In Mahesh Bhatt’s semi-autobiographical film Zakhm, Pooja Bhatt has admitted that she was afraid to take on the challenge of playing a role based on her real-life grandmother.

In Zakhm, Pooja Bhatt portrayed a single mother, and Kunal Kemmu played her little kid. Her adult son was portrayed by Ajay Devgn in the movie, which also starred Nagarjuna and Sonali Bendre.

“Frankly, I was afraid to take on the burden of impersonating my grandma and tried my hardest to suggest to my father we cast another actress in my place, but my father gave me no choice,” Pooja said in an interview with ETimes. I’m not asking you, Pooja, he said. You are playing this part, I’m telling you. The conversation ended there. What follows is history. I had the honor of portraying my grandma, and the saree I was wearing in the song belonged to her.

“I will always be grateful to my father for that,” she continued. My grandma Shirin also owned the “mangalsutra” I wore in the movie. And our house’s set was an exact reproduction of the home my father grew up in as a boy. Those days and that space I shared with Kunal (Kemmu) in front of the camera are some of the most magical times of my life!”

Zakhm was praised by critics for promoting national integrity since it showed the division that religion-based politics causes in society and the possibility of inter-citizen unity.

Pooja mentioned her Muslim grandma a few years ago when she recalled how she used to take Pooja as a young child every Tuesday to the Siddhivinayak temple in Bombay. “On December 15, 1998, our movie #zakhm was censored. Shirin Nanabhai Bhatt, a Muslim woman who took me to the Siddhivinayak temple every Tuesday and to church every Wednesday and Friday, got the honor of playing my grandma in a movie. Pooja Bhatt will soon be seen in Chup: Revenge of The Artist. In a recent interview, the actress recalled the acclaim she had gotten for her previous roles. Pooja said that star Vidya Balan had called her after watching Bombay Begums and told her that she “kissed darn good” onscreen. Pooja recalls feeling “wonderful” after Vidya informed her that, despite the fact that “it’s not easy to do kissing scenes,” she had performed well and her parts were not “cringe-worthy.”

Pooja came back to acting in 2021 with the Netflix show Bombay Begums, which was her first role in 20 years. She plays Rani Irani, the CEO of a bank, in a show that looks at sexuality, harassment at work, power struggles in an organisation, and other things. In a recent interview, Pooja Bhatt said that Vidya was nice for getting in touch with her after Bombay Begums came out.

Pooja Bhatt is an actress and director who is well known for sharing her ideas on social media, and has responded to the recent debate around using seat belts while driving. Cyrus Mistry, a former chairman of Tata Sons, recently died in an automobile accident. He reportedly didn’t have his seat belt on.

Pooja used Twitter to emphasise the value of seat belts as well as the need to repair potholes and broken roads.

She tweeted, “All this talk of seat-belts & air bags. Important? Yes! But more so is fixing potholes & damaged roads. When will the usage of substandard material to build our roads,highways,freeways be deemed criminal. Also maintaining those roads once built & inaugurated with pomp is key.” Have a look:

Soon after she shared the post, a lot of users were seen reacting to it. One of the users wrote, “Absolutely true. While seat belt is important, good planning and execution of roads and maintenance is job of administration….which sadly they don’t do most of the times.”

Another user wrote, “Precisely..putting the onus only on the seat belts & airbags won’t make it safer. Every aspects of road transportation has to be augmented starting with making it mandatory for the builders to use better materials for building roads, etc. Fixing the existing ones is bare minimum.”

After hearing about Cyrus Mistry’s passing, Dia Mirza recently asked everyone to buckle up. Tweeted she, “I beg you to wear your seat belts. Teach your children to wear seat belts. It saves lives.”

Pooja is prepared to appear in “Chup: The Revenge of the Artist” on the professional front. Along with Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, it is directed by R Balki.
