7 Common Mistakes Young People Should Avoid For A Healthy Heart

Heart health: Several common mistakes can unknowingly affect your health and increase disease risk. Here are some of these you should avoid.

During the ongoing pandemic, with restricted physical activities, individuals are not only restricted to stay at home but are working for prolonged hours and inclined to junk food. The excess use of gadgets and social media has also inclined them towards a sedentary lifestyle. Here are some common mistakes youngsters should avoid to safeguard their heart health.

Youngsters should avoid following these:

1. Stress

Stress leads to high blood pressure, chest pain, irregular heartbeats which weakens the heart muscles leading to heart diseases. High cortisol levels from long-term stress increase blood cholesterol, triglyceride, and blood sugar levels.

2. Smoking

People who smoke are at a higher risk of coronary artery disease and brain stroke. Almost 1 out of 5 heart-related deaths are directly related to smoking. Life expectancy is much lesser in people who are heavy smokers.

3. Sedentary lifestyle

A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of several health conditions. You should exercise for at least 30 minutes a day for a healthy heart. It will also help control other risk factors linked with heart diseases such as high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, obesity, and much more.

4. Long working hours

Prolonged and irregular working hours have always been associated with negative health and well-being, which to leads to sleep disorders, accidents, worsens mental health, and heart attacks. One should take intermittent breaks while working like stretching exercises, keeping the right posture, and good hydration for a healthy body.

5. Late night sleep

Sleep has a dramatic effect on your mental as well as physical well-being. It is crucial to ensure 7-8 hours of sleep every day. it is crucial to ensure a healthy sleep schedule for a healthy mind and body

6. Junk food

It is rich in instant calories and bad cholesterol. Indulging in junk food too often increases the risk of several health conditions including weight gain, poor cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and more. It is advised to take a balanced diet (full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish, and poultry).

7. Associated Diseases-

Diseases like hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and DVT increase the risk of coronary artery disease. Therefore it is crucial to managing these conditions.

Woman files lawsuit against husband for domestic violence caused by PUBG

A woman filed a lawsuit against her husband, alleging that the violence caused her psychological and physical harm while playing PUBG.

According to the details, the world’s fourth-largest mobile game, PUBG, which has more than 750 million players, includes men and women from the Arab world.

The woman filed a complaint with the police against her husband’s violence, saying that the beating had caused her psychological and physical damage for which she would seek compensation.

The woman added in her complaint that my husband doesn’t let me play PUBG even though I fulfill all the responsibilities of the house.

Tokyo Olympics: Japan’s Naomi Osaka cruised into the third round of tennis

Naomi Osaka of Japan sent a menacing message to competitors at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday, rolling through Viktorija Golubic of Croatia 6-3 6-2 to advance to the third round of tennis.

This week, the Japanese second seed has been in outstanding form, returning to competition after a two-month layoff and fully embracing her role as one of the Tokyo Olympics’ most prominent ambassadors.

Winning Olympic gold on home soil would be the cherry on top, but Osaka is adamant not to get ahead of herself.

“Well you know, definitely it would mean a lot for me to win gold here but I know it’s a process,” she said.

“You know, these are the best players in the world and I honestly haven’t played in a while so I’m trying to keep it one match at a time. All in all, I’m just really happy to be here.”

Osaka had not played since withdrawing from the French Open after the first round in May, amidst controversy surrounding her choice to miss mandatory press conferences during the event in order to protect her mental health.

Last Monday, she made her first public appearance since the withdrawal by lighting the Olympic cauldron at the Games’ opening ceremony, a task she described as a sense of responsibility to Japan.

“Honestly I didn’t feel pressured. For me, I felt more excitement, this was like a sense of duty, like something I wanted to accomplish.”

In her encounter against Golubic, the 23-year-old was unflappable on serve in the first set and rattled off four games in a row to start the second.

The Swiss managed to keep her serve but couldn’t hold off the world number two’s onslaught.

Osaka won with a strong forehand to set up a match with either Mihaela Buzarnescu of Romania or Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic.

Tokyo Olympics: Two Pakistani Athletes Will Be In Action Tomorrow

Mahoor Shahzad and Haseeb Tariq, two Pakistani athletes, will compete in their respective Tokyo Olympics competitions on Tuesday.

Pakistan‘s top shuttler, Mahoor Shahzad, will play Kirsty Gilmour of the United Kingdom in her second badminton women’s singles group match. Mahoor is now ranked number 133 in the world, while her opponent is ranked number 26.

On Saturday, she was defeated by Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in her first Olympic women’s single badminton match, losing 21-3 and 21-8.

Mahoor’s match will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pakistan time. The Pakistani shuttler is optimistic about her chances against the higher-ranked opponent.

Haseeb Tariq, will compete in the men’s 100m freestyle swimming heat #2. A total of 71 swimmers will compete in nine heats for a spot in the semi-finals.

To qualify for the semi-final on July 28, Haseeb will have to finish among the top 16 fastest with timing, regardless of heat number.

On the 29th, the top eight semi-finalists will compete in the medal final.

With personal best times of 53.34 seconds, the 25-year-old swimmer currently holds Pakistan’s national record in the 100m freestyle, and he is aiming to smash it at the Tokyo Olympics.

If he wishes to advance to the next stage, he must swim 100m in less than 48 seconds.
