Born in Karachi on September 3, 1964, Legendary Junaid Jamshed is being remembered on his 56th birthday

Junaid Jamshed is popularly known for his globally-acclaimed anthem ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and his work as a televangelist.

He briefly worked as a civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before turning to music as a potential career option.

Jamshed and his band ‘Vital Signs’ gained immense popularity during the 80s, with their claim-to-fame songs like ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’, ‘Aitebaar’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Dil Ki Baat’ and various others.

Dil Dil Pakistan immediately won Pakistanis’ patriotic hearts when it was released on Independence Day, 1987.

He ruled the pop music industry for almost 15 years, but he bid farewell to his music career in order to serve humanity by enlightening it with spiritual knowledge and religious guidance. During his life, he also launched a clothing line under the name J. in order to maintain an income source.

In December 2016, Junaid lost his life along with his first wife in a tragic airplane crash. He was traveling on from Chitral to Islamabad crashed in Havelian.

Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed, who sought exemption from appearance before the court following their video song ‘Qubool’ controversy, has been granted bail by the court on Thursday.

A court granted bail to Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar in a case pertaining to the filming of a song at Lahore’s historic Wazir Khan Mosque.

Both the accused appeared in the courtroom today to have their attendance registered at the hearing. During the hearing, Qamar’s lawyer contended that his client was innocent and did not violate the sanctity of the mosque.

However, the investigating officer said that police had not yet received the video of the song’s shooting that went viral on social media.

Lahore Sessions Court judge Chaudhry Qasim Ali ruled in favour of Qamar and Saeed’s interim petitions, granting them bail.

Moreover, the judge said that the matter of reward or compensation will be decided at the trial.

Earlier, the case had been registered at the Akbari police station of Lahore on the complaint of advocate Farhat Manzoor.

In the report, the act of filming a music video at the mosque has hurt the religious sentiments of the public. Additionally, it has also appealed for stern action against the mosque administration.

However, Manzoor had filed a petition to file a case against the artists in this regard.

WhatsApp has been working on numerous exciting and useful features for a very long time.

As per reports, the messaging app is working on features including the auto-archive chats and has brought back its popular vacation mode in the latest Android beta update.

All the features are currently under development and WhatsApp will roll them out officially only when it is free of bugs.

As per Wabetainfo, after shelving the vacation mode a couple of weeks ago, WhatsApp has started working on the feature again.

“WhatsApp has decided to implement the Vacation Mode again, under a new form! There will be a new dedicated section for the Vacation Mode, that allows choosing different parameters. When the new feature will be enabled, Archived chats will be moved to the top of your chats list,” the report read.

The Vacation mode feature that WhatsApp seems to be working on for over a year now will allow users to mute notifications from archived chats.

Renowned ‘The Rock’ actor Dwayne Johnson confirms he was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus along with his family.

On Wednesday, Johnson took to Instagram to share the news.

He revealed that he and his wife, Lauren and their daughters Jasmine and Tiana have been down with the virus since quite a while now. Thankfully, they are doing a lot better now, he added.

“I wanted to give you guys a little helpful update on things that have been going on on my end for the past two-and-a-half to three weeks now. So the update is this: my wife Lauren as well as my two baby girls and myself, we have all tested positive for COVID-19,” Dwayne Johnson said in a video message.

“I could tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family, and for me, too, personally as well,” he continued. “And I’ve gone through some doozies in the past.”

“Testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries, or being evicted, or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times,” Johnson said, adding that the reason contracting the virus is so different “is because my No.1 priority is to always protect my family. And protect my children, my loved ones.”

“I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn’t, it was my entire family, so this one was a real kick in the gut. But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good.
