New Delhi: Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas said on Friday that the fundraising they began to support India during the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis has raised more than USD 3 million.

Nick and Priyanka shared a video on Instagram, thanking fans for the donation.

Priyanka captioned the video as “We did it together… for India. Thank you.” She even invited internet users to donate to the cause and assist India with the second wave of Covid-19.

Nick went on to say that the donors’ love and support crossed all boundaries and helped folks he had never met. The couple then expressed their gratitude to those who came together and donated more than USD 3 million, far exceeding their goal of raising USD 1 million.

The actor from Baywatch set up and donated to the charity in April.

In the video, she said, “When India needed you, you came through. Over 15,000 of you, across the world, came together to help India through one of its biggest humanitarian crises and fight the second deadly wave of the Covid-19 virus.”

Priyanka and Nick shared a video on Instagram, thanking fans for the donation. In the video, she said, “When India needed you, you came through.
