DG ISPR pays tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed

DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar paid tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed on his day of martyrdom via tweet.

The tweet stated,

“Gallantry of Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed, NH, will forever remind us of our commitment to Kashmir.”

It further read,

“His immortal action is glowing precedent for those struggling to restore the sanctity of land that he laid his life for. Nation venerates his sacrifice.”

Naik Saif Ali Janjua, Pakistan Army Azad Kashmir Regiment, was a platoon commander during the 1947 Indo-Pakistani War.

For his valor, he had recieved the Hilal-e-Kashmir from the government of Azad Kashmir, which is equivalent to Nishan-e-Haider, the highest military award given by Pakistan.
