ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

OGRA has issued a notification to increase the price of LPG. The price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinder of LPG has been increased by Rs 45 from December 1.

The new domestic LPG cylinder price has been fixed at Rs 3,700, per kg of LPG has been increased by Rs 3.82 .

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the cost of electricity for the consumers and notification has also been issued.

According to the notification, the cost of electricity for consumers has been increased by Rs 40 paise per unit.

NEPRA’s notification said that electricity was hiked due to the September fuel adjustment and additional charges from electricity consumers will be made in November bills.

According to the notification, the decision will not apply to Lifeline and K-Electric customers.

It should be noted that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a notification to increase gas prices.

According to OGRA, the price has not been increased for protected consumers of gas between 25 and 90 cubic meters per month, however the fixed charges for protected consumers have been increased from Rs.10 to Rs.400.

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification for the hike in gas prices for domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors.

According to OGRA, the price has not been increased for protected consumers of gas between 25 and 90 cubic meters per month, however, the fixed charges for protected consumers have been increased from Rs.10 to Rs.400.

The notification said that the price of gas for non-protected domestic consumers has been increased by more than 172 percent, while the price of 25 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs.200 to Rs.300 per MMBTU.

According to OGRA’s notification, the price of 60 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 300 to Rs 600 per MMBTU, and the price of 100 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1000 per MMBTU.

The notification states that the price of 150 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 600 to Rs 1200 per MMBTU, while the price of 200 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1600 per MMBTU.

According to OGRA’s notification, the price of 300 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 1100 to Rs 3000 per MMBTU and the price of 400 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 3500 per MMBTU.

The price of 400 cubic meters of gas per month has been increased from Rs 3100 to Rs 4000 per MMBTU.

According to the notification of OGRA, the gas price for ovens has been maintained at Rs 600 per MMBTU for Tandoor and the gas price for power plants has also been maintained at Rs 1050 per MMBTU.

The notification states that the price of gas for the cement sector has been fixed at Rs 4400 per MMBTU and for the CNG sector the price of gas has been fixed at Rs 3600 per MMBTU.

LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court(LHC) against the recent increase in the prices of petroleum products.

Azhar Siddique, head of the Judicial Activism Panel, filed a plea in the Lahore High Court in which the federal government, the federal Ministry of Petroleum, and the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA) have been made parties.

It has been argued in the petition that the price of petroleum in the world market is low while in Pakistan it is continuously increasing while there is no mechanism determining the price of petroleum products in Pakistan.

The petitioner said that the recent increase in prices will further increase inflation as petrol is a basic need that cannot be kept away from the public in case of inflation.

Azhar Siddiq stated that increasing the price of petroleum products is tantamount to denying fundamental rights and violating the constitution, so the recent increase in the prices of petroleum products should be annulled by the court.

According to the notification issued in this regard, the domestic LPG cylinder price has been increased by Rs.282 and the commercial cylinder price has been increased by Rs.1083.

LPG price per kg has increased from Rs 177 to Rs 201 while the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has increased to Rs 2,374 from Rs 2,092.

The price of commercial cylinder has increased from Rs 8,049 to Rs 9,132.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court(LHC) has reserved its verdict on the plea of ​​canceling the bail of six Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA) officers.

KARACHI: Giving another shock to inflation-hit people, the government has further increased the price of a domestic cylinder of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification for the increase in domestic LPG cylinder price for the month of March.

According to the notification, domestic LPG cylinder has been made more expensive by Rs 11.53 paisa, the price of domestic cylinder has increased by Rs 136.6 paisa.

The new price of LPG per kg has been fixed at Rs 277.77 paise, while after the increase, the price of a domestic cylinder of 11.8 kg has been increased to Rs 3277. 73 paise.

LAHORE: A plea was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday, challenging the recent increase in prices of petroleum products.

The plea has been filed by a citizen named Muneer Ahmed through his lawyer Advocate Azhar Siddique.

He stated that the federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products which would lead to a further rise in inflation.

The petitioner pleaded with the court to declare the recent increase in fuel prices void.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), federal government and other concerned authorities have been made party in the case.

Earlier, the federal government increased the price of petrol by Rs22.20 per litre in a bid to appease the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for reviving $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

The rate of petrol was increased to Rs272.00 per litre from Rs249.80 per litre and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs17.20 per litre to Rs280.00.

He told a round-table meeting hosted by OGRA here that 51% of issues were handled when all stakeholders got together under one roof, and the remaining 49% were resolved by mutual conversation. The conference was co-chaired by OGRA Chairman Masroor Khan, Member (Gas) Muhammad Arif, and Member (Oil) Zainulabideen Qureshi, which was held to discuss the Sui gas regulatory changes from the standpoint of consumers.

Member (Oil) Zainulabideen emphasized the significance of accepting criticism positively and constructively since it always leads to the correct path and an agreeable solution to any problem. Senior executives from OGRA’s Corporate Affairs Division, the Gas Department, with designated officials from Islamabad, Peshawar, and Lahore, as well as representatives from the Hydrocarbon Development Institution of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), were in attendance.

Representatives of the Sarhad, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industries, as well as the Chairman of the Cooperative CNG Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Alamzeb, raised concerns about the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), while members of the general public submitted various queries to the authority.
