Govt increases petrol by Rs1, diesel by Rs7 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The government increased the price of Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol by Rs.1 per litre and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs.7 per litre for the next fortnight starting from February 1st.

The price of MS petrol was fixed at Rs 257.13 per litre as against its existing price of Rs 256.13 per litre, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel was increased by Rs.7 per litre as HS- Diesel would be available at Rs 267.95 per litre as compared to its previous price of Rs 260.95.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reviewed and adjusted consumer prices for petroleum products in view of recent fluctuations in the international oil market.

ISLAMABAD: The price of petroleum products is likely to drop from November 01 following decline in international oil prices.

According to official sources, there is a possibility of reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 3.29  and  in diesel by Rs 3.13 per liter which will be applicable for the next 15 days.

The fuel prices in the global market have decreased by $1.5 and $2.5 per barrel respectively in the last 15 days.

Earlier, the government had reduced IMEM by Rs 304 per liter on diesel and Rs 4.07 per liter on petrol from October 16, 2024.

The oil marketing companies had informed the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority chairman about the huge financial loss in a letter.

The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) said that the government has deviated from the pricing formula this time and kept prices low since October 16. The custom duty on diesel has been reduced from Rs 1516 to Rs 13.26 per litre.

ISLAMABAD: The caretaker federal government has announced the new petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan.

According to the sources, there is no increase or decrease in the price of petrol for the next 15 days, but it has been decided to reduce the price of diesel, kerosene, and light diesel.

The caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar approved the change in the prices of petroleum products.

A reduction in the price of diesel by Rs.7 per liter has been approved.

The interim government has decided to reduce the price of kerosene oil by Rs 3. 82 per liter while a reduction in the price of light diesel oil by Rs 4.52 per liter has been approved.
