SSGC issues schedule for closure CNG stations in Sindh

  • CNG and RLNG stations of Sindh will remain closed from Aug 26.

KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company(SSGC) has released the schedule for closing CNG stations in Sindh province.

According to the details, CNG and RLNG stations of Sindh will remain closed from August 26 at 8 am to August 28 at 8 am.

Gas supply will be stopped at CNG stations of Sindh for 48 hours. The closure of CNG stations can meet the gas needs of domestic consumers.

All general industries and captive power will also be banned from using gas on Saturday and Sunday, August 26 at 8 am.

Gas supply to all Sindh industries and Captopower will be closed for 48 hours from Monday to Sunday.

Closure Of CNG Stations Across Sindh Extended

Gas Supply To CNG Stations In Sindh Suspended For A Week

The gas crisis in Karachi has intensified. All the CNG stations across Sindh will be closed for 48 consecutive hours from 8 am on Thursday (14th January) to 8 am on Saturday (16 January), as per the notification of SSGC.

On the other hand, RLNG stations will also be closed across the province.

According to the details, CNG stations will remain closed for six consecutive days this week.

The All Pakistan CNG Association raised voice against SSGC and said the closure of CNG stations will affect public transport and ambulance service.

It should be mentioned here that earlier the notification for the closure of CNG stations was issued for 72 consecutive hours from 8 am on Monday, January 11 to 8 am on Thursday, January 14.

Karachi: We cooperated with SSGC in every possible way

Samir Najmal Hussain Coordinator Sindh Zone said,

“We are being forced to abandon the path of cooperation and take the path of confrontation.”

Earlier SSGC said in a notification that due to low input, availability of gas has decreased, resulting in depletion of line pack and low pressure in the system.
