Actor Sajid Hassan’s son admits earning Rs 1.5 million weekly by selling drugs

Sajid Hassan's son
  • Karachi police arrested Sahir Hassan, Sajid Hassan’s son.
  • The arrests were made as part of the ongoing probe into Mustafa Aamir’s murder.
  • Sahir Hassan confessed to selling drugs through Snapchat for two years.

Karachi police arrested Sahir Hassan, son of actor Sajid Hassan, along with three others during a raid in the city’s Defense area. The arrests were made as part of the ongoing probe into the murder of 23-year-old Mustafa Aamir, who went missing in January.

During interrogation, Sahir Hassan confessed to selling drugs through Snapchat for two years, earning around Rs 1.5 million weekly, as reported by The Express Tribune. He also exposed key figures involved in the illegal trade, including influential businessmen and politicians.

Dismissing the notion that drug dealers approach students directly, Sajid Hassan’s son explained, “It is wrong to assume that we go to educational institutions to sell drugs. Instead, students place orders through an online mobile app, and deliveries are made to specific locations.” He further revealed that students are gradually introduced to weed, stating, “Initially, only a few students buy, but within months, the number of buyers increases significantly.”

SSP Shoaib Memon confirmed that Karachi’s drug supply is controlled by two major groups. “One group smuggles weed illegally from California, while the other sells Iranian weed,” he said, adding that recent arrests have disrupted “50 percent of weed sales in the city.”

Authorities have intensified their crackdown, with 20 key suppliers now in hiding. “None of the accused have fled the country,” SSP Memon assured.

Investigators also found that Sahir used courier services to purchase drugs, spending Rs 4-5 lakh weekly. He admitted that drug money was deposited into his father’s manager’s account and revealed, “I have been using weed for 13 years and worked as a model for five years.”

With these revelations exposing Karachi’s organized drug network, law enforcement is ramping up efforts to dismantle major operations.

  • She reflected on their childhood, admitting they often had fist fights.

Sonakshi Sinha has opened up about her bond with her brothers, Luv and Kush, amid speculation about their absence from her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal last year. Their no-show sparked rumors of a family rift, with many believing the brothers disapproved of the marriage.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Sonakshi reflected on their childhood, admitting they often had “hathapai (fist fights).” She explained, “Main sabse choti, ghar ki ladki, sabse laadli, toh bhaiyonn ko jalan toh hoti thi toh mujhe padti thi (I was the youngest sibling, the most adored. So my brothers were jealous and would beat me up).”

Meanwhile, their father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, addressed the matter in an interview with Retro Lehren. He refrained from discussing why his sons skipped the wedding but acknowledged their feelings. “I won’t complain. They are only humans. They maybe still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion,” he said, adding, “Here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience comes in place.”

Luv later broke his silence on Instagram, dismissing speculation. “Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me, my family will always come first,” he wrote.

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in a civil ceremony at her Bandra residence on June 23, 2024, after seven years of dating.

Ranaut, now an elected member of parliament, shared the news on Instagram on Friday. “Today Javed Ji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through mediation. In the mediation, Javed Ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial,” she wrote alongside a picture of the two.

The dispute began in 2020 when Akhtar filed a defamation case against Ranaut over remarks she made in an interview following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Recalling a past meeting, she had said, “Once Javed Akhtar called me to his house and told me Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go… you will commit suicide. These were his words. He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house.”

Akhtar dismissed her claims in court, stating, “Whatever Kangana said in the interview is a lie and nothing but a lie.” Ranaut had also accused him of extortion and invading her privacy.

Who is the world’s richest actor in Hollywood? Dwayne Johnson or Ryan Reynolds

world's richest actor
  • Dwayne Johnson has reclaimed his spot as the world’s richest actor.
  • The actor earned an estimated $88 million in 2024.
  • Among female actors, only three made it to the top 20.

Dwayne Johnson has reclaimed his spot as the world’s richest actor, topping Forbes‘ list after four years. The actor earned an estimated $88 million in 2024, surpassing stars like Ryan Reynolds and Jerry Seinfeld. His earnings came from major deals for Red One, Moana 2, and royalties from past projects. According to an industry agent quoted in the report, it was “an ungodly amount of money.”

The report highlights that most of these earnings were made outside traditional box office releases. In 2024, six of the top ten films were animated, a category where actors typically don’t earn as much.

Among female actors, only three made it to the top 20: Nicole Kidman (Babygirl, A Family Affair), Mariska Hargitay, and Scarlett Johansson—the youngest on the list at 40. Despite his stellar year, Timothée Chalamet did not make the cut, as his deals were locked in before his 2024 hits.

Streaming also played a huge role in star earnings. Brad Pitt and George Clooney reportedly earned $35 million each for Wolfs. Up next, Johnson will star in a Martin Scorsese film alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt, as well as The Smashing Machine, a biopic directed by Benny Safdie.

Mika Singh shares his disappointing experience of working with Bipasha Basu

Mika Singh
  • Mika Singh shared his disappointing experience of working with Bipasha Basu.
  • Mika was the producer of Dangerous, which starred Bipasha.
  • He revealed that her alleged tantrums made the experience difficult.

Singer Mika Singh recently shared his disappointing experience of working with actress Bipasha Basu on the crime thriller Dangerous, which was released in 2020. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mika, who turned producer for the project, revealed that Bipasha’s alleged tantrums made the experience difficult and claimed that her attitude is the reason she is out of work today.

“Why do you think they’re out of work now? God is watching everything,” Mika said, recalling the challenges he faced. He initially planned a low-budget film of around ₹4 crore to showcase his music but faced unexpected complications.

At the time, Mika could not afford Vikram Bhatt as a director, so he brought him on board as a writer and hired Bhushan Patel to direct. However, the project changed when Bipasha insisted on joining. “I was considering another actress, but she wanted to be a part of it. The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from ₹4 crore to ₹14 crore,” Mika explained.

He further alleged, “Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums, saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that, etc.”

Bipasha and Karan Singh Grover met while filming Alone in 2015, married in 2016, and welcomed their daughter in 2022.
