A westerly wave is expected to reach the western regions of the country starting Sunday (today), bringing rain at the onset of the holy month of Ramadan.
This weather system is likely to cause rainfall in Punjab’s plains and other areas on Monday and Tuesday.
Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, and surrounding districts, may experience rain and snowfall over the hills.
Showers are also anticipated in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swat, Peshawar, and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, with possible snowfall in mountainous areas.
Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are expected to receive rainfall along with snowfall on higher elevations.
Meanwhile, most districts of Sindh will remain dry, though Larkana and Sukkur may witness light rain with thunderstorms on the night of March 2 and into March 3.
