Singer Mika Singh recently shared his disappointing experience of working with actress Bipasha Basu on the crime thriller Dangerous, which was released in 2020. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mika, who turned producer for the project, revealed that Bipasha’s alleged tantrums made the experience difficult and claimed that her attitude is the reason she is out of work today.
“Why do you think they’re out of work now? God is watching everything,” Mika said, recalling the challenges he faced. He initially planned a low-budget film of around ₹4 crore to showcase his music but faced unexpected complications.
At the time, Mika could not afford Vikram Bhatt as a director, so he brought him on board as a writer and hired Bhushan Patel to direct. However, the project changed when Bipasha insisted on joining. “I was considering another actress, but she wanted to be a part of it. The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from ₹4 crore to ₹14 crore,” Mika explained.
He further alleged, “Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums, saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that, etc.”
Bipasha and Karan Singh Grover met while filming Alone in 2015, married in 2016, and welcomed their daughter in 2022.
