Shan and Nische are getting married in the northwest city of Peshawar a few weeks after the digital invitation card for a Pakistani cricketer also appeared online.

As the couple prepared to begin their wedding celebrations, a video of them exchanging rings in a private ceremony went viral.

While the bride-to-be Nische looked absolutely radiant wearing a Chrysler-toned dress with red flowers and little jewelry to create the ideal winter wedding appearance, Shan kept things simple with the customary white kurta shalwar and waistcoat.

Los Angeles: Lawyers for the five-year-old son of a man who died in the United States after being shocked repeatedly with a stun gun by Los Angeles police have filed a $50 million lawsuit against the city.

Before Keenan Anderson’s son can sue the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for civil rights violations, he must first file a claim. Officers Tasered his father six times in less than a minute to subdue him on January 3.

Black Lives Matter

Anderson, a 31-year-old high school English teacher in Washington, DC, and cousin of Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors was a suspect in a hit-and-run traffic collision in Venice, California, on the United States west coast. He allegedly fled from officers and resisted arrest.

According to a video released by the LAPD, Anderson screamed for help after officers pinned him to the ground.

“They’re trying to kill me!” yelled Anderson.

An officer was seen pressing his forearm against Anderson’s chest and his elbow into his neck.

“They’re trying to George Floyd me,” Anderson said, referring to the Black man killed by Minnesota police officers.

Anderson initially cooperated with officers as they investigated whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to Police Chief Michel Moore. He was apprehended after running into the middle of the street and resisting arrest.

According to the chief, an LAPD toxicology test found cocaine and cannabis in Anderson’s body, but those findings are separate from the coroner’s independent report.

The officers involved have not been named yet but their union issued a statement saying the family and its lawyers were “trying to shamelessly profit” from a “tragic incident”.

Anderson went into cardiac arrest after being subdued and died four hours later at a hospital.

Missile systems seen on Moscow rooftops draw no response from the Kremlin

The Kremlin has declined to confirm whether Russia is preparing to defend itself against potential attacks in the wake of social media posts showing missile defence systems installed on a number of Moscow rooftops.

Social media posts appeared to show a Pantsir-S1 mobile anti-aircraft system on the roof of a structure in central Moscow that is located about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) east of the Kremlin, as well as a Pantsir on the roof of the Ministry of Defense building that is situated along the Moscow River and next to Gorky Park.

On Friday, something that appeared to be an anti-aircraft weapon could be seen atop the capital’s main ministry building.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, referred inquiries about whether Russia was concerned that Moscow might be a target, to the defence ministry on Friday.

“It is better to ask the defense ministry about all measures that are taken because they are responsible for ensuring the security of the country in general and the capital in particular,” Peskov told reporters.

A request for comment from the reporters was not immediately met with a response from the ministry.

An air defence system called Pantsir-S1 is made to defend against a range of weapons, such as aircraft and ballistic and cruise missiles.

Another Pantsir system was reportedly installed about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from President Vladimir Putin’s home in Novo-Ogaryovo outside of Moscow, according to independent Russian-language media.

Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko shared a video

The interior minister of Ukraine‘s advisor, Anton Gerashchenko, shared a video on social media that appeared to show the anti-aircraft near Putin’s home.

“What is going on, one wonders?” Gerashchenko wrote.

S-400 mobile surface-to-air missile units were reportedly spotted at an agricultural institute in the capital as well as close to the expansive Losiny Ostrov forest park on Moscow’s northern border, according to reports from earlier in the week.

On Twitter, security analyst Michael Horowitz suggested a few potential explanations: The Kremlin leadership may be worried about the threat of a coup, which he acknowledged was a “wild guess,” or Russia may be worried about “Ukrainian attacks against Moscow,” the Russian leadership may be trying to play up the threat of Ukrainian attacks.

Moscow has claimed that Ukrainian forces are responsible for drone assaults on military facilities located far inside Russian territory.

Despite sending Ukraine military aid worth billions of dollars from the US and other NATO members, US President Joe Biden has stated that Washington will not send any equipment that could be used in attacks inside of Russia.

However, Kremlin spokesman Peskov raised the possibility of such weapons being provided in the future on Thursday, saying it would “bring the conflict to a whole new level.”

In 2021, Kangana  announced  her movie Emergency. It was written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote the screenplay for Kangana’s recent box office dud, Dhaakad. In addition to Kangana, other prominent actors in the movie include Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade. “Three one-way attack drones attacked Syria’s al-Tanf Garrison,” CENTCOM said in a statement on Friday.

The coalition shot down two of the drones, but the third struck the compound, injuring two allied Syrian opposition fighters who were treated, according to the statement.

“Attacks of this kind are unacceptable,” CENTCOM spokesperson Joe Buccino said, without naming the perpetrators.

“They place our troops and our partners at risk and jeopardize the fight against ISIL.”

The attackers made no immediate claim of responsibility.

Iran-backed forces are stationed near al-Tanf, a desert garrison on the strategically important Baghdad-Damascus highway, near the Iraqi and Jordanian borders.

Iran is a key ally of the Syrian government, and the coalition has previously disrupted similar attacks on al-Tanf.

In the area, there are also sleeper cells of the armed ISIL (ISIS) group.

In 2016, the coalition established the base to train Syrian fighters for the fight against ISIL.

Even after the fighters’ last Syrian outpost was overrun by Kurdish-led forces in March 2019, it kept the facility.

As part of the coalition’s ongoing campaign against ISIL remnants, approximately 900 US troops remain at al-Tanf and other bases in the Kurdish-controlled northeast.

The US has previously carried out attacks on infrastructure facilities allegedly used by groups affiliated with Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The raids, it said, were in response to alleged attacks on al-Tanf by Iranian-backed fighters.

The Syrian government has consistently expressed its opposition to the US role in Syria and has demanded that US forces leave the country.

Twinkle Khanna frequently discusses parenting in her interviews and postings on social media. In a recent interview, the former actress, who is now an author, opened out about how most parents “just wing it” and discussed her children Aarav and Nitara. Being a parent “should require some prior preparation,” according to Twinkle, who is married to star Akshay Kumar, much as getting a driving license requires instruction and passing a test.

Twinkle, who recently made headlines for traveling in an automobile in Mumbai with her daughter Nitara, also discussed her parenting style. She asserted that the best approach to raise children is to “set an exemplary example.” Twinkle Khanna claimed in an interview last year that she has always paid for the schooling of her children Nitara and Aarav and has never shared a bank account with her husband Akshay.

When asked about there being so much focus on raising daughters right, and not enough on raising sons the correct way, Twinkle told Harper’s Bazaar India in a recent interview, “I did write a column about how to raise our sons the right way and not just focus on raising our daughters. If you ask me, just the way you have to train and get a license to drive after passing a test, being a parent should also require some prior training. All of us are just winging it and hoping for the best at this point.”

Further asked about the correct way to raise children according to her, Twinkle said ‘leading by example’ was the approach she would suggest. When asked how the next generation could be raised differently to bring a change in society, Twinkle said, “You are asking me these questions as if I am an expert. Perhaps it would be better to wait and see how my children turn out before I start dispensing advice.”

Twinkle made her acting debut in 1995 with Barsaat, and she gave up acting after the release of Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega in 2001. With Mrs Funnybones, Twinkle made her writing debut in 2015. She then followed it up with the fiction book Pyjamas Are Forgiving and the anthology of short stories The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, both of which were published in 2017.

Military had no direct role in riots, said Brazilian defence minister

Jose Mucio, Brazil’s defence minister, has stated that the country’s armed forces were not directly involved in the January 8 attack on the seat of government in Brasilia, which was led by supporters of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro.

Mucio’s declaration came after President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva met with army, navy, and air force chiefs on Friday, the first such gathering since the riots.

“I understand there was no direct involvement of the armed forces, but if any element participated, they will have to answer as citizens,” Mucio told reporters on Friday.

He went on to say that government buildings would not be stormed again because the armed forces would “anticipate” it.

His remarks come as the government has promised to hold those who enabled or participated in the riots accountable.

One of the figures currently under investigation is the governor of Brasilia, Ibaneis Rocha, who was suspended from his post in the hours after the attack. On Friday, federal police raided his home and workplaces as part of a probe into his failure to stop rioters from entering Brasilia’s government buildings.

During the attack, Bolsonaro supporters stormed the presidential palace, the Supreme Court, and Congress, hoping to spark a military intervention that would pave the way for Bolsonaro’s return to power.

Almost 1,400 people arrested in connection with the riots are still being held, and the public prosecutor has charged at least 39 people so far.
