His wife Alia Bhatt made the momentous announcement by sharing a cute image from her sonogram and announcing that their baby would be due soon. As well wishes poured in from all over the world, Ranbir revealed in a recent interview that he would like his child to be interested in soccer because it is a sport that is extremely dear to his heart

He said in an interview, “I always like when young children boy or girl, when they are into sports. It’s something that I would like to definitely encourage in my children when I have children to play especially soccer. Soccer is something I am very attached to. It’s something which gave me an identity very early in my life. I was below average in everything… in studies and dramatics, everything. But football gave me a….. I was decent. So you found some identity in it.”

The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor added, “I don’t know if I am good or not but when my two younger cousin brothers Armaan Aadar were born, while they were growing up, they were like my tail. Wherever I went they followed me and they really worshipped me. So I guess I was good to them so that’s why they were doing that. I have a niece called Samara who’s 11 now. She’s a little shy, she also lives in Delhi. But her growing-up years, we were quite close. Now she is in that awkward age where boys are a bit…. But, yeah I would like to believe that I’m close to children.”

On the work front, Ranbir is anticipating the release of Shamshera, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. Shamshera, directed by Karan Malhotra, is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22 of this year.

Two suspected bank robbers were killed Tuesday in western Canada during a shootout with police that injured six officers, according to local authorities, who added that a possible third suspect was still missing.

“This remains an ongoing police incident with the heavy police presence in the area,” said Saanich police chief Dean Duthie at a press conference.

According to police, two armed suspects entered a bank in Saanich, a city of approximately 114,000 people outside the British Columbia capital of Victoria, around 11:00 a.m. (1800 GMT).

“Multiple officers responded to the scene and encountered the armed suspects who fired at police. Two suspects were shot by police and died at the scene,” the statement said, adding that no bank employees or members of the public were physically injured.

“It’s hard because we have members in the hospital right now suffering from serious injuries,” Duthie said.

Twenty people were discovered dead in the desert in Libya following a vehicle breakdown near the border with Chad, with rescuers assuming they died of thirst.

A team “recovered 20 bodies found in the desert after their vehicle broke down,” according to rescue services in Kufra’s southeastern region.

The vehicle had come from neighboring Chad and reached some 120 kilometers (75 miles) into Libyan territory before breaking down, the statement added.
