NAGARPARKAR: On Wednesday, Gardhari Kohli of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) challenged the results of the Local Government (LG) elections of ward 3 and won after the recounting against Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) candidate by 27 votes, BOL News reports.
Nagji Kohli won against the PPP candidate in June 26 elections by 10 votes. At the request of Gardhari Kohli, the recounting took place by the presiding officer of ward 3, and later it was announced that the PPP candidate won by the lead of 27 votes.
Nagji Kohli was elected on June 26 by 767 votes, and Gardhari Kohli only received 757 votes. The DRO Tharparkar order the presiding officer of the NagarParkar to recount the votes. Following this order, counting was done today in which 38 votes of the PTI candidate were rejected while not a single vote of the PPP candidate was disqualified.
