When K-pop supergroup BTS revealed that they would be taking a break after their annual FESTA dinner, their fans were devastated. Big Hit Music, the boy band’s management company, later confirmed that the group will continue to be active while the members would concentrate on solo projects.
ARMYs were somewhat soothed by this announcement, but Netflix has now shared a post confirming the group’s sabbatical status, which has infuriated several supporters.
On Twitter, Netflix shared a post on BTS’s break and made comparisons to One Direction, a five-piece band. Now, if you were a fan of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson growing up, the news of the band’s dissolution must have devastated you.

Now that Netflix has posted about “jaale pe namak dena,” folks are upset and, to be honest, a little terrified. The comments section was flooded with complaints from fans about the post.
what do you mean gen alpha 😭 is the fandom made entirely of 12 years olds? once they become 13 they drop bts and new 12 years olds join the fandom ??? younger armys are always welcome here, but come on do you really think that’s who is buying their albums?

Netflix, I’m 45.
And it’s not even a “hiatus” we’re literally struggling under waves of content. pic.twitter.com/qELu2Wy4oG— Sol in the 90% 💜 ⟬⟭ Run beautiful, run ⟭⟬ (@JamAnna77) June 27, 2022
First of all, Destiny’s Child made it abundantly clear they were splitting up. Their last album is called ‘Destiny Fulfilled.’ BTS has said on multiple occasions that they are not disbanding and still have group schedules. Don’t lump my faves in with these wayward yt men. https://t.co/A4cIs6V1ta

Big Hit Music declared that “BTS now enters a new chapter with new solo projects as well as group projects” in an official statement. Members will use this time to grow personally through a variety of different activities, and we anticipate that this will further enhance the team’s long-term basis.
