Frederick County camp dining hall is burnt by a large fire. Firefighters got an alert to a large fire at Camp Airy in Thurmont, Frederick County, on Wednesday morning.
According to the camp, the fire began in the dining hall at around 7:30 a.m. The facility was unoccupied, and 100 employees are on the scene, according to Frederick County Fire and Rescue.
According to early indications, there have been no injuries related to the fire.

The camp stated in a statement, “We wanted to let everyone know that all of the campers, counsellors; and staff are safe and present, even if it’s too soon to determine the extent of the damage. No injuries are yet known.”
According to the camp, mealtimes and activities will be moved.
