The well-known actor Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man, has stated that he would like to play the beloved character again.
The 41-year-old actor initially captured audiences’ attention in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). He most recently reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), alongside Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland, both of whom have also portrayed Spider-Man.
In a feature for People’s “Movies of My Life,” Garfield shared his excitement about participating in the multiverse collaboration, stating, “I’m so happy that they had the courage to do it. It’s such a great idea. I would never have had that foresight.” He added that he would be open to returning to the role if it enhances the Spider-Man legacy: “If there’s something that can be concocted and thought up that feels additive to the canon of that character, then for sure.”
In an interview with Esquire, Garfield went on to express how much he loved the character, saying, “I love that character, and it brings me joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m joyful in return.” His portrayal remains a favorite among Spider-Man fans, who continue to celebrate his work.
