And now, with the DC universe’s authority changing and Henry Cavill leaving the spot vacant, fans were wondering whether Michael would actually do it or not. Unfortunately for everyone, the actor recently debunked his casting rumours in an interview.

Michael B. Jordan Gives A Blunt Response To His Black Superman Casting Rumours

The rumour was that Jordan will be playing Val-Zod, an alternate Kryptonian hero from the more well-known Kal-El (Clark Kent/Superman). And it went viral after a page reported that the Black Superman project is already in talks with Michael.

Michael B. Jordan finally answered everyone’s questions about him playing black Superman at the red carpet event for his upcoming film Creed, in an interview and it’s a little disappointing. When the reporter questioned him “And finally, you came back for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ We were so happy about that. But now you’re gonna take on the DC role of Black Superman”, the actor bluntly asked “Who said that?”

When the reporter increased the pressure on Michael B. Jordan to spill something, he said, rter added a lil more pressure on the actor to spill something, Michael B. Jordan shared, “You said that. I didn’t say that. I don’t even know about no rumors about that one.”

Michael B. Jordan’s recent denial deviated from what he had previously stated. In a previous interview, Michael expressed hope to all of his fans, despite saying he had no idea. He stated in the 2021 interview, “I mean, I don’t know. I think you know there’s a…I don’t really know what is going on with that in particular, but I think everybody’s want and desire to see Black leads and heroic roles I think is really important. Representation is important.”

Well, all that’s been said and done, we still don’t know who will be taking the baton of playing Superman now that Henry Cavill has taken an exit from the DC universe.

However, the fictitious universe in which his two most well-known characters, John Clark and Jack Ryan, are set is the same. The two frequently cooperate in the books. Both characters have recently been brought to life in various projects that, coincidentally, both had their premieres on Prime Video. Actor John Krasinski, who portrays Jack Ryan, discusses a potential crossover in an interview with Bollywood media.

At the moment, there are three seasons of Jack Ryan, and a fourth has already been filmed. But Ryanverse lasts 30–40 years in Tom Clancy’s books (with Jack Ryan even becoming the President of the US). So, there is enough content for 20 seasons if the creators want to do that. When asked if he knew how far Jack Ryan was supposed to go, John said, “As far as how long this goes, right now we have only shot four seasons and it looks like that would be the end of the series. But you never know. There may be another iteration for this character. It’s certainly been an amazing character for me to play. So who knows, we’ll see!”

John Clark, who is also a well-known character from Tom Clancy’s Ryanverse, was in the movie Without Remorse from last year. The movie was starred by Michael B. Jordan and could be watched on Prime Video. Fans have been hoping for a crossover since both of Clancy’s famous characters are now on the same streaming service. And the actors have also thought about it. “It’s something that I have always wanted to do. I actually talked to Michael B Jordan about it. He is the greatest. I am such a huge fan of his and would like to work with him on anything. We both found ourselves in this amazing universe and thought it would be a great opportunity to do it together. Hopefully that gets to happen at some point soon,” says John.
