‘Maestro’: Bradley Cooper stuns fans with his stunning makeover for biopic

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper seems nearly different in the first trailer for his highly awaited biography Maestro.

Cooper co-stars alongside fellow Oscar contender Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, and Maya Hawke in his first directorial attempt since A Star Is Born.

The 47-year-old actor plays legendary conductor and West Side Story composer Leonard Bernstein, while Mulligan plays his wife Felicia Montealegre, whose first look images were released by Netflix on Monday.

Cooper and co-star Carey Mulligan (who plays Bernstein’s wife Felicia Montealegre) are seen smiling in one snap, while Cooper is seen framing a shot on set in another. Cooper is unrecognisable as an old Bernstein in more shots.

Cooper teased Maestro during an interview with Mahershala Ali for Variety in January, revealing that he “wanted to be a conductor since I was a kid.”

Cooper also discussed how he jumped on the project after filmmaker Steven Spielberg was first involved.

“I always knew Steven Spielberg was aware of my love with conducting,” Cooper stated.

“He had this concept for a biopic and was talking to me about perhaps appearing in it. But I had just finished A Star Is Born. ‘Listen, all I want to do is write and direct movies,’ I said. I’ve always wanted to be a conductor, so may I examine the subject and see if I can compose and direct it? Would you allow me to do that?'”

Jury begins deliberations on the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial decision

Johnny Amber

The defamation trial of Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard will be concluded shortly once the jury renders its judgement following deliberations.

The jury is mulling over a mound of testimony and evidence, implying that the decision will be delayed.

Before deliberations began Friday afternoon, jurors were given 37 pages of jury instructions. There are also eight other types of verdicts. They debated for two hours before adjourning for the weekend.

The jury reconvened Tuesday morning at the Fairfax County Courthouse to begin deliberations. Attorneys for both parties will be there and waiting for any discussions or developments, but neither Depp nor Heard have been seen. It’s unknown if they’ll be there for the decision, which might come as soon as today.

Depp is suing Heard for defamation in a defamation action for just under $50 million for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which the actress claimed she was a survivor of domestic abuse.

Johnny Depp has denied ever being aggressive to her, but she is suing for double the amount.

It is hard to predict how long the jury will deliberate in the defamation suit between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. This is because the jury must make a unanimous decision and there is a large amount of evidence to consider.
