Alexey Navalny, the imprisoned Kremlin critic, said Tuesday that if he is found guilty of fresh allegations of “forming an extremist organisation”; he may face another 15 years in prison.

In an Instagram post, the Russian opposition leader claimed, “It turns out that I founded an extremist group to stir hatred toward authorities and oligarchs.”
“They’re supposed to add another 15 years for this,” he continued.
Navalny was sentenced to nine years in a maximum-security prison in March; after the Lefortovo court in Moscow found him guilty of fraud charges stemming from claims; that he stole money from his Anti-Corruption Foundation.
