Air Chief Marshal launches JF-17 Block-3 at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex has formally launched the production work of Block-III of JF-17 Thunder aircraft on the completion of dual-seat JF-17 fighter jet.

The launching ceremony was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra on Wednesday, which was attended by Air Chief Marshal, Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.

Speaking on the occasion, the Air Chief emphasized on indigenization and self-reliance in military hardware.

He praised initiatives of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra for design, development, manufacturing, and overhaul of aerial warfare assets.

He also applauded the collaboration between aviation industries of Pakistan and China.

Chinese Ambassador, on the occasion, highlighted JF-17 program as a shining example of cooperation between two countries and assured his country’s support for ongoing and future joint ventures in all domains.

Pak-Afghan ties will help boost cooperation in economic, trade sphere: PM

Afghan Minister for Industry and Commerce and Mr. Nisar Ahmed Faizi Ghoryani, Minister for Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday (today).

During the meeting, the Prime Minister remarked that Pakistan and Afghanistan have untapped economic synergies and complementarities, which could be best realized through cooperation in the economic and trade sphere.

The Prime Minister mentioned the Trans-Afghan railway line project, “Mazar-e-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar,” and highlighted Pakistan’s support to Uzbekistan’s efforts to secure financing for the project.

On the other hand, the premier also talkef to a delegation led by President National Assembly of Republic of Djibouti Mohamed Ali Houmed in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister further underlined that Pakistan would soon be establishing its resident diplomatic Mission in Djibouti.

They also exchanged views on the importance of peace and security in the regional context of both Pakistan and Djibouti.

President National Assembly of Djibouti appreciated Pakistan’s historical support and expressed the hope that visit of Parliamentary delegation would help in further consolidating bilateral relations.

Asad Umar authorized the procurement of more than a million vaccines

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has on Wednesday said that he has authorized the procurement of more than one million vaccines.

The chief of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), Asad Umar took to Twitter the number “will cover all frontline health workers”.

He said what remains now is for DRAP (Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan) to approve a vaccine.

Umar said that the government aims to deploy the vaccines within the first quarter of 2021.

Earlier, Asad Umar had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

The minister took to Twitter and wrote, ” Just got my covid test result and it is positive. Will be isolating at home.”

As Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif was arrested on Tuesday in a case related to assets more than income, Foriegn Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that it is unnatural and inappropriate to link National Accountability Burea (NAB) with PTI.

During a media talk at Press Infromation Dpeartment (PID), Shah Mahmood said NAB itself is an independent body, it has nothing to do with the government.

The Foriegn Minister said that PTI was not involved in the appointment of NAB chairman and the law under which NAB was operating was not made by PTI.

PML-N leader Khawaja Asif was involved in FATF legislation and he predicted that things would create difficulties for him in the coming days, said Qureshi.

He further added that NRO is the name of a relief under the guise of which he wanted to move forward while in every civilized society no one is above the law.

Further targeting the Opposition, the Foriegn Minister added that the alliance of the PDM is unnatural, and is destined to disintegrate.
