An executive from Visa Brazil discusses intentions to integrate crypto assets such as Bitcoin into the payments platform.
In the latest interview, Eduardo Abreu, vice president of new business at payments giant Visa, publicized the company’s intent to participate crypto assets onto its platform for equal payments and as a store of value, with the foremost cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC).
In the interview, Abreu shared his certainty that more adoption will need the integration of traditional banking activity in the crypto ecosystem so that clients can transact with sanction and crypto within an equal environment.
There was no exact date of the launch, but it is generally probable in the coming months.
Abreu said, “The great advantage of adopting Bitcoin is, without a doubt, its ease. Without needing to exchange a fiat currency, there is an optimization of exchanges when using Bitcoin,”.
Along with this service, Abreu also recommended the prospect of clients receiving cashback in crypto:
“Brazilians already have the culture of receiving card points, miles, discounts, etc. Why not receive cryptocurrencies with their credit card as well?”

As per the announcement of Visa, it has purchased $149,000 of a CryptoPunk (one of the first non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain), a digital Non-Fungible Token (NFT) artwork containing a pixel woman with a mohawk.
The largest payment processors globally, Visa made a crystal clear statement that like credit cards and online banking before, NFTs and blockchain are the waves of the future.
Visa announced the news,

Coinbase announced on Thursday that consumers can now buy crypto assets on its website using Apple Pay, with Google Pay integration coming soon.
“Today we’re introducing new and seamless ways to enable crypto buys with linked debit cards to Apple Pay and Google Pay, and instant cashouts up to $100,000 per transaction available 24/7,” on Thursday, according to a Coinbase blog post.
“If you already have a Visa or Mastercard debit card linked in your Apple Wallet, Apple Pay will automatically appear as a payment method when you’re buying crypto with Coinbase on an Apple Pay-supported iOS device or Safari web browser,” the blog post mentioned.
Coinbase plans to make Google Pay available “later this fall.”
Coinbase announced the same thing in the same post. “instant cashouts via Real-Time Payments (RTP), enabling customers in the U.S. with linked bank accounts to instantly and securely cash out up to $100,000 per transaction.”
Gemini, a digital asset exchange, made a similar step in April when it added Google Pay and Apple Pay money transfer options to its platform.
