LAHORE: Due to the recent wave of terrorism in the country, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has launched a grand operation against terrorists.

According to the details, CTD conducted a grand operation last night on the hideouts of terrorists in Lahore, Sargodha, Multan, and other districts of the province.

According to CTD officials, eight terrorists of banned Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Daesh were arrested from five districts including Lahore. Terrorists were arrested during the interrogation of 36 suspects.

The CTD officials further said that the terrorists include Masood ur Rahman, Subhanullah, Sajid Ali, Aziz Khan, Shahid Ejaz, and Sharaft Ullah.

CTD officials said that suicide vests, explosives, arms, and bullets were recovered during the operation. The investigation has been started by registering seven cases against the terrorists.

CTD officials said that 483 combing operations were conducted this week in which 127 suspects were arrested.

PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed seven terrorists during exchange of fire in North Waziristan while five to six terrorists managed to flee the scene by taking advantage of darkness..

The terrorists attacked CTD team in North Waziristan, when they were moving suspected terrorists to Bannu. Security sources said that the attack took place last night at Mir Ali Bypass.

In the exchange of fire with the security forces, three suspects in the custody and four terrorists of the banned outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were shot dead, while five to six terrorists managed to flee the scene by taking advantage of darkness.

Security sources said that the terrorists were identified as Irshadullah, Abdul Rehman, Mehredin, the dead outlaws were wanted by the CTD in several serious terrorism cases.

According to the sources, the terrorists ambushed the operation team, the terrorists attacked to rescue their colleagues, on this occasion the security forces’ support party also reached the spot.

The terrorists were involved in the target killing of Constable Iftikhar in the grenade attack on the Cantt police station.

Pakistan Army security forces have on Sunday conducted an area sanitization operation in Dewagar, North Waziristan, on confirmation of the presence of terrorists.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during an intense exchange of fire, one terrorist, Zahid-u-Din resident of Dewagar, was killed.

The terrorist was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Dewagar and Kharseen areas, added ISPR.

ISPR further said that he remained actively involved in target killings, terrorists’ activities, extortion and planting IEDs against the security forces.

Earlier, security forces had conducted intelligence-based operations (IBO) in Kanju, Swat on confirmation of the presence of terrorists.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), During the exchange of fire terrorist named Mukarram killed while another terrorist apprehended.

Due to terrorists firing 2 local civilian pedestrians were also martyred.

Both the terrorists of TTP Swat remained involved in terrorists’ activities against Security Forces & LEAs, demolition of schools, extortion and targeted killing.

TTP Commander Hassan Alias Killed During IBO In North Waziristan: ISPR

Pakistan Army conducted two successful intelligence-based operations (IBO) in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an IBO on confirmation of the presence of terrorists in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

During the exchange of fire, terrorist commander Hassan Alias Sajna of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Hafiz Gul Bahadur group killed, said ISPR.

ISPR further added that Hassan Alias Sajna was involved in the killing of four women worker yesterday in Mir Ali.

The killed terrorist remained involved in terrorist activities against security Forces and peaceful civilians including IED attacks, kidnapping for ransom, target killing, extortion and also involved in recruiting terrorists.

During the search operation, security forces recovered a huge cache of weapons, ISPR added.

Five terrorists including TTP commanders killed during IBO In North Waziristan: ISPR

Pakistan Army conducted two successful two intelligence based operations (IBO) in Mir Ali and Khaisur areas of North Waziristan.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an IBO during which five terrorists including two terrorist commanders Syed Raheem and Saufullah Noor  of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed.

Terrorist commander Syed Raheem remained involved in then terrorist activities against the security Forces from 2007, said ISPR.

ISPR further added, he was incharge of two suicide bombing centers in Wana and Mir Ali areas. He was tasked by hostile agencies for target killing, recruiting new terrorists and organizing them.

The terrorist commander was involved also involved in further terrorist activities during November 2020 till January 2021. He was involved in killing of four Maliks in Mir Ali area, three engineers working in a company in North Waziristan and many IEDs attacks.

Whereas, Commander Saifullah Noor was directly involved in different IED attacks on Security Forces in Khaisur, added ISPR.
