Malala Condemns Gaza Hospital Bombing, Demands Israel to Permit Humanitarian Aid in Gaza

Malala
  • Malala condemned Israel’s recent atrocities on Palestine.
  • She voiced her serious worry in a video message.
  • She announced a $300,000 donation to three nonprofit organizations.

Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient, has used her platform to condemn Israel’s recent atrocities on Palestine. She voiced her serious worry in a video message, saying, “I’m appalled by the bombing of al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, and I unequivocally condemn it.”

She then appealed to the Israeli authorities to let aid into Gaza and emphasized the critical need for a ceasefire. She announced a $300,000 donation to three nonprofit organizations committed to aiding the Palestinian people in their time of need, as well as links for others who desire to donate.

Malala passionately pleaded to her worldwide audience in her video message, stating, “I stand here to add my voice to the chorus of calls for peace, originating from Palestine, Israel, and around the world. Collective punishment is not a solution. Nearly half of Gaza’s population is comprised of children under 18 years old, and subjecting them to a life of constant bombardment and an unjust occupation is unacceptable.”

She went on to say, “I’m directing $300,000 to charities actively working to aid Palestinian children and those in peril. I implore everyone watching this video to consider donating to organizations providing essential humanitarian assistance. Together, we must make it crystal clear to our leaders that we demand an immediate ceasefire and a lasting peace.”

These remarks follow her earlier support for an “immediate ceasefire,” in which she stated, “I join the call for an immediate ceasefire. As I’ve processed the heartbreaking news of recent days, I can’t help but think of the Palestinian and Israeli children caught in the crossfire. I was just 11 years old when I witnessed violence and terrorism. We awoke to the sounds of mortar shells and witnessed our schools and mosques reduced to rubble by bombs. Peace became an elusive dream.”

She stressed, “War never discriminates against children – whether they are taken from their homes in Israel, hiding from airstrikes, or enduring the lack of food and water in Gaza. Today, I grieve for all the children and people yearning for peace and justice in the Holy Land.” These statements evoked a wide range of responses, with some applauding her advocacy and others perceiving her neutrality as a “change of stance.”

Recently, Israeli soldiers launched a missile, killing hundreds of people in a medical facility in Gaza that was overcrowded with refugees. According to reports, more than 500 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed when Israeli troops bombed al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, which was full of displaced people, and afterwards claimed a failed missile following backlash.

Singer Annie Khalid receives backlash for calling Malala “puppet of the West”

Annie Khalid
  • Annie Khalid is a legend of the music scene from our youth.
  • Khalid is currently facing backlash from social media users.
  • She tweeted, “That Malala is a puppet of the west.”

Although singer Annie Khalid, a legend of the music scene from our youth, gave Pakistani fans such successes as “Mahiya” or “Princess,” it appears that not all that glitters are gold. Because Khalid is currently facing backlash from social media users for making a contentious claim regarding Nobel laureate and education activist Yousafzai.

Khalid believed she should offer a viewpoint that is both obnoxious and insensitive in response to a chance post that urged people to express a controversial opinion. She tweeted, “That Malala is a puppet of the west.”

Twittati asked the singer what had Malala done to provoke such hostility from her. Why pick out Malala for staying in the West due to the threats on her life when she hasn’t said anything about Imran Khan other than calling him out for his racist beliefs on Pathans?

Twitter users urged Khalid to issue an apology, highlighting the fact that Malala had put in more effort to advocate for Pakistani women’s rights than Khalid ever had.

This is how the Internet responded to her tweet:

We can only express how seriously unpleasant it is to have a woman accuse another woman only because of a difference in political opinions. We genuinely hope that Pakistani celebrities will develop some manners and refrain from demeaning other ladies by twisting the truth and engaging in outright harassment.

She taunted her haters with this gif when the entire nation was clutching its pearls because the Noble Prize activist declared she prefers not to get married.

There was also a time when Malala rejected a boy who tried to impress her with his thirst traps:

Once again, Yousafzai’s funny reply to a TikTok user who was enjoying the fact that she missed school classes has users in fits. The Malala Fund tweeted back, saying, “Boo.”

The entire interaction was amusing to Twitter users:

Khoosat film Joyland nominated for Oscar

Joyland
  • Joyland is said to be the first Pakistani film to be nominated for an Oscar.
  • Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shortlists for 10 categories.
  • Film was at first outlawed for having “objectionable content” in its own country.

Joyland has risen to new heights after being chosen for the International Feature Film category at the Oscars.

An international feature film with a transgender topic from Pakistan made the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shortlists for 10 categories for the 95th Academy Awards.

The film, which was at first outlawed for having “objectionable content,” is said to be the first Pakistani effort to be nominated for an Oscar, the highest-profile honor in the entertainment business.

Other films in this genre include Argentina from Argentina, Corsage from Austria, Close from Belgium, Cambodia’s Return to Seoul, Holy Spider from Denmark, Saint Omer from France, All Quiet on the Western Front from Germany, The Quiet Girl from Ireland, Bardo from Mexico, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths from Mexico, The Blue Caftan from Morocco, EO from Poland, Decision to Leave from South Korea, and Cairo Conspiracy from Sweden.

Leading celebrities and activists like Noble Aureate Malala and British actor Riz Ahmed praised the Oscar nomination as the media took notice of Joyland’s most recent accomplishment.

Malala recently sent a happy message on Instagram. “Everyone behind the screen who was on the screen. You guys did such an amazing job. Being a part of this endeavor is a great honor for me. For all of the artists and for Pakistan, it is really an incredible time. The squad must be aware of how proud everyone is of them, she wrote.

A screenshot of an article detailing Joyland’s Oscars submission was also posted by Riz Ahmad, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and others.

The film first encountered a number of issues in its own country. It was prohibited in Punjab after the censor board cleared it because it had extremely unpleasant content that was opposed to Pakistani religious and social norms.

Priyanka Chopra was not amused by Hasan Minaj’s jab at Malala Yousufzai, an activist.

Hasan Minaj, a comedian, poked fun of Malala earlier this month by saying that although the Nobel Peace Prize winner follows him on Instagram, Minhaj does not follow her back.

Malala ended up unfollowing him after his prank. In response, Minhaj posted a movie on Instagram with the description “Malala Claps Back.”

As a breaking news intro plays at the beginning of the video, Hasan declares, “All right, this is getting out of hand.”

“On October 4th I made a joke about Nobel Peace Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai. I said she follows me on Instagram and I don’t follow her back,” the video then cuts to the joke he cracked.

“Then on October 5th, she retaliated. She puts up an Instagram story that says ‘Should I unfollow Hasan Minhaj? 39% of her voters said ‘Who is this man?’ 38% of them said ‘Yes.’ Instead of doing a runoff, she unfollowed me on Instagram. I’m sorry Malala. Follow me back. I don’t know if I will follow you though. I am that petty.”
