PTI files complaint against CEC, others ECP members

KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh leadership filed a complaint in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja and five other members of the commission.

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, Justice (retd) Noor ul Haq Qureshi and MPA Muhammad Shabbir lodged the complaint under Articles 209 (5) and (6) of the Constitution.

In the complaint filed in the SJC , it is said that the Chief Election Commissioner and the members of the Election Commission failed to fulfill their constitutional responsibility.

The complaint states that the Chief Election Commissioner and members tried to undermine the mandate of PTI and court decisions, their actions affected more than 120 million voters.

The Supreme Judicial Council has been requested to inquire into the allegations leveled against the Chief Election Commissioner and members.

KARACHI: The local court of Karachi approved the bail of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh in the case of an attempt to assist an arrested individual in escaping police custody.

Judicial Magistrate South of Karachi heard the bail application of Haleem Adil Sheikh in the case of trying to escape the accused under custody.

During the hearing, the police stated that Haleem Adil had tried to make Hassan Niazi escape from police custody.

After a short hearing, the court granted bail to Haleem Adil against a surety bond of Rs 50,000.

However, the case against Haleem Adil Shaikh for allegedly setting fire to the police mobile in the Mobina Town police station is still pending, as he has not been granted bail.

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Imran Khan demanded the immediate release of PTI Karachi General Secretary Arslan Taj Ghaman.

In his Twitter message, Imran Khan said “We all demand the immediate release of Secretary General Karachi Arslan Taj Ghaman.”

Imran Khan said that Arsalan Taj Ghaman was kidnapped and he only mentioned Dirty Harry in his speech yesterday.

He further said that he strongly condemned this undemocratic move based on fascism.

On the other hand, PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that Imran Khan has issued instructions to the entire party for the release of Arsalan Taj.

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said that a market has been set up to buy MPAs of Punjab with looted money of Sindh.

Opposition Leader Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court said that he has once again appeared in the Terrorism Court.

He said that dacoits and thieves have lodged politically motivated cases against him.

Haleem Adil Sheikh said that Asif Zardari and the Sindh government are involved in every dirty work done in Pakistan. He said the trading of consciences in the Sindh House was done and now the market has been set up for the purchase of MPAs of Punjab with looted money of Sindh.

He said governor Punjab acted unconstitutionally and added that the governor has no authority to give orders during the session.

The opposition leader Sindh said that Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah is threatening to seal the assembly but PTI is fully prepared to deal with the situation. He said the court has no authority to interfere in the proceedings of the assembly.

SUKKUR: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the police are only registering cases against political opponents in Sindh instead of arresting robbers or street criminals.

Opposition leader Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh while talking to the media in Sukkur said that the police should arrest the robbers, not the citizens. He said when the police were arresting Senator Azam Swati, the robbers were allegedly sexually assaulting the child. He said that IG Sindh should be ashamed.

Halim Adil Shaikh said police should not enslave and must do their work which is their responsibility.

He said that the Sindh Police has been destroyed and the peace of Sindh has been put at stake. He lamented that the country is now going towards default.

Haleem Adil Sheikh said Azam Swati is a great asset to the party and senior citizen of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa are imprisoned on the land of Shah Abdul Latif Bhatai, Sachal Sarmast, and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

The opposition leader said, “I apologized  on behalf of Sindh to Azam Swati and the family, all the baseless cases filed against Swati in Sindh should be dismissed.”

According to the details, the city court gave a verdict to uphold the ongoing decision of the Judicial Magistrate.
The Judicial magistrate sent the opposition leader to the judicial remand where Anti encroachment filed a plea to convert the decision into a physical remand.

Haleem Adil Sheikh is accused of infringing on 25 acres of Malir land. Anti-encroachment officials brought the PTI leader before the court from jail. Halim Adil Sheikh protested to the court that he was dragged by his collar during his court appearance and was put in the jail’s hardened terrorist ward.

KARACHI: In a land grabbing case, the Malir court on Tuesday sent Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly and PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh to jail on judicial remand after rejecting the police’s request for physical remand.

Haleem Adil Sheikh is accused of infringing on 25 acres of Malir land. Anti-encroachment officials brought the PTI leader before the court from jail. Halim Adil Sheikh protested to the court that he was dragged by his collar during his court appearance and was put in the jail’s hardened terrorist ward.

The infection in my leg has worsened, and despite complaints, police authorities have not taken any efforts to treat me, according to Sheikh. When questioned by the court, the IO of the case stated that he did not drag Haleem Adil from his collar, but rather tried to hold him to prevent him from collapsing.

The anti-encroachment officials requested the physical remand of Haleem Adil for additional investigation in the case, but the defense lawyer objected, citing health concerns.
