RAWALPINDI: Pakistan conducted successful flight test of Fatah-II, equipped with state of the art avionics, sophisticated navigation system and unique flight trajectory.

RAWALPINDI: At least three brave policemen, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom in a terror attack on Police Lines in the Tank City of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five terrorists including a suicide bomber attempted to attack the Police Lines in Tank City, however, brave policemen offered stiff resistance.

Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized to support the Police force and in the ensuing operation, all five terrorists were sent to hell.

However, during an intense fire exchange with the terrorists, three brave policemen, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.

The military media wing said the effective response of the Policemen is a testament to their unrelenting resolve in the fight against terrorism.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir who is on an official visit to the US, discussed matters of bilateral interests, global and regional security issues, and ongoing conflicts were discussed during the meetings.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Syed Asim Munir called on Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, Secretary of Defence, General (R) Llyod J. Austin, Deputy Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, Deputy National Security Adviser, Jonathan Finer and US Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Q Brown.

Both sides agreed to continue engagement for exploring potential avenues of bilateral collaboration in pursuit of shared interests.

During the meetings with defence officials, counter terrorism cooperation and defence collaboration were identified as core areas of cooperation.

Both sides reiterated the intent to increase interaction and explore ways to expand the scope of mutually beneficial engagements.

The COAS underscored the importance of understanding each other’s perspectives on regional security issues and developments affecting strategic stability in South Asia.

In this context, the COAS especially highlighted the importance of resolving the Kashmir Issue in accordance with international law and relevant UNSC resolutions.

The Army Chief also interacted with the Pakistani overseas community. In a reception hosted by Embassy of Pakistan, the COAS met members of the Pakistani community. The COAS appreciated the positive role being played by Pakistani overseas community towards the country’s progress and development.

During the interaction, topics of varying dimensions were discussed and the COAS appreciated the efforts of Pakistani Diaspora. He also welcomed and encouraged the diaspora to invest through SIFC which is already yielding success in various dimensions.

COAS also highlighted that the US is the largest export market for Pakistan constituting 21.5 % of our total exports and dispelled rumours about special screening, denial of visas and detentions.

Army Chief said “Pakistani diaspora anywhere around the world is held in high regard as they are ambassadors of Pakistan and contribute significantly to Pakistan in varying domains.

Members of the Pakistani community expressed their pride in the role and contributions of the Pakistan Army towards well-being of Pakistan.

23 soldiers martyred in DI Khan terror attack: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: As many as 23 Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom as a group of six terrorists attacked security forces post in Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)  that the attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted which forced the terrorists to ram an explosive laden vehicle into the post, followed by a suicide bombing attack.

“The resulting blasts led to the collapse of the building, causing multiple causalities; 23 brave soldiers embraced martyrdom, while all six terrorists were effectively engaged and sent to hell,” the ISPR stated.

The military’s media wing said heightened activities in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district  were witnessed on night of December 11 wherein total of 27 terrorists were sent to hell during various operations.

An intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Darazinda on reported presence of terrorists. During the conduct of operation, terrorists’ hideout was busted and seventeen terrorists were sent to hell.

In another intelligence-based operation in general area Kulachi, own troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location as a result of which four terrorists were sent to hell. However, after intense exchange of fire, two brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.

The killed terrorists were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered during the operations.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR),  troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which Terrorist Habib Ur Rehman was sent to hell.

The killed terrorist remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians in the area. Weapon, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorist.

Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, as the Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

On the other hand, Sepoy Ahmed Ali, who embraced martyrdom while gallantly fighting against terrorists in Sararogha area of South Waziristan, was laid to rest with full military honours after his funeral prayers held in his native town of Charsadda District .

According to the ISPR, a large number of Pakistan Army officers, soldiers, relatives and local people participated in the funeral prayer.

The martyred soldier was identified as 26-yeard old Sepoy Ahmed Ali resident of District Charsadda, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat, during an intense exchange of fire.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), presided over the 82nd Formation Commanders Conference at GHQ, which was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and all Formation Commanders of Pakistan Army.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR),  forum paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Shuhadas including officers and men of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies and Pakistani Citizens.

The participants were briefed on professional matters, national security challenges and measures being undertaken to counter traditional and non-traditional security threats.

The forum took holistic view of the ongoing counter terrorism operations and resolved that all terrorists, their facilitators and abettors, working on the behest of hostile forces to destabilise Pakistan will be dealt with full might of the state.

COAS expressed satisfaction over operational preparedness and high standards of training and morale maintained by formations to deal with the emerging threat paradigm.

The forum expressed unequivocal diplomatic, moral and political support to the people of Palestine and reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance supporting the two-state solution, based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Al Sharif as the capital of Palestine.

The participants also expressed concerns over continued repression of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned the unabated human rights violations by Indian forces. Forum reaffirmed that Pakistan shall continue to support Kashmiris politically, diplomatically and morally. Participants stressed that the only solution to the issue lies in providing the right of self-determination to the people of Kashmir according to relevant UNSC resolution.

The forum resolved to fully support government’s initiatives in various domains for sustainable recovery of the economy and curbing illegal activities including smuggling, hoarding, electricity theft, implementation of One Document Regime, dignified repatriation of illegal foreigners and safeguarding of national database etc.

The forum noted that despite challenges, recent months have witnessed an increasing sense of stability, certainty and optimism across Pakistan and resolved that vested efforts towards engineering of despondency will be defeated through perseverance and continued positive actions, with the support of the people of Pakistan, InshaAllah.
