SAHIWAL: Two arrested terrorists including the mastermind of Dasu hydel power project attack were killed by their accomplices in Sahiwal District of Punjab.

According to Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) spokesman, terrorists Muhammad Hussain and Ayaz alias Jahanzeb were being transferred from Sahiwal Jail due to security concerns, where the firing incident took place on Sammundari road in Sahiwal.

The spokesman said that to free the arrested terrorists, their accomplices opened fire on the police, as a result of which both terrorists were killed by the firing of their own accomplices.

It should be noted that the court had awarded the death penalty to the terrorists involved in the Dasu attack. On July 14, 2021, 13 people, including 9 foreigners, were killed and 20 injured in the Daso attack.

In November 2022, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) handed down the death sentence on 13 counts to each of the two men arrested in the DHPP terrorist attack case.

BAHAWALPUR: Two terrorists of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were killed in an exchange of fire with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bahawalpur.

CTD spokesperson said the slain terrorists Adeel alias Saifullah Khorasani and Zain alias Asadullah Khorasani were arrested from Hasilpur a few days ago.

According to the authorities, the two terrorists were being taken to Bahawalpur for the identification of weapons when their accomplices ambushed them and opened fire.  Both terrorists were killed by bullets.

According to the CTD officials, the terrorists had formed a four-member network and the network of the dead terrorists had planned the assassination of Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada.

RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed in separate operations conducted by security forces in two in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the Inter Public Services Public Relations(ISPR), an intelligence based operation (IBO) was conducted in Khyber district.

During the conduct of operation, after an intense exchange of fire, terrorist ring leader Shamrooz alias Sheenay, was sent to hell by the security forces.

In another operation conducted by the security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district where a terrorist Mansoor was also successfully neutralized.

The statement said weapons, ammunition & explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion & target killings of innocent civilians, and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two terrorists in an intelligence based operation in Kalat District , Balcoshitan.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), two terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists during an intelligence-based operation carried out in the general area Nagao Mountains, Kalat district.

Security forces recovered cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from their possession.

The killed terrorists remained involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and the target killing of innocent civilians. Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists.

RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with security forces in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence Based Operation (IBO) was conducted in area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District where after intense exchange of fire, terrorist Ikram was sent to hell.

He remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces including the recent terrorist attacks on Police Station Hathala & Rori Police Check Post.

In another encounter with terrorists in general area Miran Shah, North Waziristan District, troops effectively engaged the terrorist location as a result of which one more terrorist was sent to hell.

Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists.

Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.

RAWALPINDI: As many as two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Esham area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the intense firing continued for hours during which two terrorists were killed. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the possession of terrorists.

The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

ISPR said the incident re-vindicates Pak Army’s resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistan and reaffirms its determination to take on any and all entities that resort to violence.

Earlier, on Jan 28, a terrorist was killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.
