Security forces killed eight terrorists in two separate operations

Two soldiers martyred, nine terrorists killed in two separate KP IBOs

RAWALPINDI: Security Forces killed eight terrorists (Khwarij) in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in Tank District on reported presence of Khwarij.

During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged Khwarij location and resultantly six terrorists (Khwarij) were sent to hell.

In another encounter that took place in general area Tirah valley, Khyber District, own troops successfully neutralized two terrorists (Khwarij).

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other (terrorists )Khwarji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out  the menace of terrorism from the country,” it further said.

Another polio case detected in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Another polio casehas been confirmed in Pakistan, total number of children affected by crippling disease last year has risen to 69.

A 13-month-old girl from Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was affected by polio last year, but the case has been officially confirmed now.

The total number of children affected by polio in Pakistan last year has risen to 69, according to authorities.

In 2024, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 21 cases, Balochistan 27, Sindh 19, while Punjab and Islamabad recorded one case each.

Security forces kill seven terrorists in Tank

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed seven terrorists in general area of Kiri Machan Khel, Tank District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Tank District, on reported presence of terrorists.

During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, as a result of which seven terrorists were sent to hell.

The terrorist’s hideouts were also busted during the operation.

Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities including recent target killings of Police in Tank and surrounding areas.

Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

Four member of anti-polio team kidnapped in Tank

TANK: Four member of anti-polio team abducted in Kari Umar Khan village of Tank District , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer(DPO) Iftikhar Shah, the anti-polio monitoring team including  lady worker was going to Kari Umar Khan village when unknown persons kidnapped the team.

He said that the monitoring team went to Kari Umar Khan village without security.

The DPO said that a search operation has been started in the area to recover the hostages and arrest the kidnappers.
