Three policemen killed, six injured in Karak checkpost attack

PESHAWAR: Three policemen were martyred and six injured on police checkpost in Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Bahadurkhel’s police post in Karak was attacked by terrorists in which two policemen were martyred and six injured.

The District Police Officer (DPO) said drivers Naqeeb and Adnan were martyred on the spot in the incident.

According to authorities, the miscreants attacked with heavy weapons. The attackers fled in retaliation by the police.

According to the DPO, four injured policemen were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital where another policeman Taimoor Hayat died while not receiving any injuries while three injured policemen were referred to Peshawar.

DPO Rahim Yar Khan removed from his post

LAHORE: 3 officers including District Police Officer (DPO) Rahim Yar Khan Imran Ahmed were removed from the post following the brutal assault resulted in the martyrdom  of 12 policemen with several other injured in attack on police vehicle by bandits last night.

According to the notification, DPO Imran Ahmed has been removed from the post and Rizwan Umar Gondal has been appointed as DPO in his place.

Additional Superintendent Police Rahim Yar Khan Javed Akhtar was ordered to report to the Central Police Office, the notification said. The notification states that DSP Organized Crime Rahim Yar Khan Kaleem Ahmed has been made OSD.

Mohsin Dawar attacked in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR: The extremists attacked the vehicle of former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Mohsin Dawar in Miran Shah North Waziristan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer (DPO) North Waziristan Rohan Zaib while talking  media confirmed the firing on Mohsin Dawar’s car and said that Mohsin Dawar had police security with him, the police personnel’s  fired back at the militants who opened fire, from which the assailant escaped.

According to the police, multiple bullets hit the vehicle,  however, Mohsin Dawar remained safe due to the bullet proof car.

DPO Rohan Zeb said that Mohsin Dawar has been provided with foolproof security, he is completely safe while the search operation against the unknown militants is going on.

TANK: Four member of anti-polio team abducted in Kari Umar Khan village of Tank District , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer(DPO) Iftikhar Shah, the anti-polio monitoring team including  lady worker was going to Kari Umar Khan village when unknown persons kidnapped the team.

He said that the monitoring team went to Kari Umar Khan village without security.

The DPO said that a search operation has been started in the area to recover the hostages and arrest the kidnappers.
