Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi had a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister and the Egyptian President discussed the Palestinian issue during the telephonic conversation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has praised the Egyptian leadership for its role in the Palestinian cause while condemning Israeli barbarism against innocent Palestinians.

In the conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the desecration of Palestinian women, children and Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has also called for a speedy and immediate solution to the Palestinian issue.

During the telephonic conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Palestine has been turned into an open prison.

The prime minister also called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem.

In the telephone conversation, Imran Khan also demanded that the Palestinians should be given the right to self-determination and be brought back to the position before 1967.

In the conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan also stressed the unity among Muslim Ummah.

The Egyptian President also invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Egypt.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, while declaring the Palestine Mission a success, said that “congratulations to the entire Pakistani nation” for the purpose for which the Prime Minister had sent him was a success.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was accorded a hearty welcome at Islamabad Airport on his return home after supporting his voice for Palestine in the United Nations. A large number of PTI leaders and workers greeted the Foreign Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foreign Minister said that he had been sent by Prime Minister Imran Khan to fight the case of Palestine, which he succeeded in. The ceasefire has been declared in Palestine.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that four meetings of the Security Council were held and all four were inconclusive but our joint efforts led to the meeting of the UN General Assembly. The issue of Palestine was raised in the world’s largest parliament.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, during a telephone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s denunciation of the Israeli aggression and attacks in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip over the past 11 days.

King Salman offered his prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured during the conflict and said he wishes the Palestinian people security and peace.

He added that the Kingdom will continue its efforts at all levels to prevent Israeli attacks on Jerusalem by working with all relevant parties to put pressure on the Israeli government.

The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his deep gratitude for the Kingdom’s support and thanked the king and the Saudi government for their efforts within international, Islamic, and Arab organizations to stop the Israeli aggression and support the Palestinian people.

A ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas after 11 days of fighting that wreaked havoc in the Gaza Strip and disrupted life in Israel.

According to the international news agency, after the ceasefire, celebrations were heard on the streets of Gaza, with car horns being blown and a few aerial shots fired as crowds took to the streets in the occupied West Bank.

Egypt negotiated a ceasefire following international pressure to halt the bloodshed that began on May 10.

Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres on Thursday said while addressing the UNGA session in New York that “If there is a hell on earth, it is the lives of children in Gaza”

Guterres said, “We must ensure the safety of the civilian population.”

There should be no attacks on airports, the civilian population, infrastructure waste, emphasized the UN Secretary-General.

Talking about the Israel-Palestine conflict, the UN General Secretary said that the conflict cannot be ignored.

“Hamas and the rest of Israel must stop firing rockets at civilians in Israel”, said UN General Secretary.

There is no justification for harming civilians and citizens must be protected and unprovoked shelling stopped.

“We must immediately call for a ceasefire”, said Antonio Guterres.

He added that the “indiscriminate firing of rockets by Hamas and other militant groups” towards population centers in Israel — which have left 12 dead, including two children — was “also unacceptable.”
