After Oscars 2022 slap controversy, Will Smith has been the topic of the town for quite some time. Although the 53-year-old actor earned his first Academy Award for King Richard this year, many people will remember Will Smith unexpectedly slapping Chris Rock on the 94th Academy Awards stage after the comedian made a joke about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

In the midst of Will Smith’s ongoing Oscars 2022 controversy, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star was unexpectedly sighted in India.

Will is now in Mumbai and was photographed by photographers at Kalina Airport. Will was seen modestly welcoming everyone with a palm on his heart, all smiles, and was a picture of casual cool with a plain white tee, grey shorts, black and white sneakers, and a multicoloured bead on his neck as he got out of his car.

Smith was in good company, as the pandit next to him was also a pandit. Will also accommodated several of his followers by taking photos and selfies with them.

Meanwhile, as Will Smith’s punishment, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has barred him from attending the Oscars for ten years while retaining his Academy Award.

“I really didn’t wanna get married,” As she sat across from Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Will Smith, and Willow Smith, Pinkett Smith reiterated.

“We only got married because Gammy(Banfield-Norris) was crying,” Will Smith laughed.

“It was almost as if Gammy was like, ‘You have to get married, so let’s talk about the wedding,’” said Pinkett Smith.

Jada’s mother then admitted: “I remember feeling very strongly and wanting you guys to be married.”

“I do remember [wanting you and Will to get married] but I don’t remember your rejection of the idea of marriage,” she added. “I remember the rejection of the idea of a wedding but not of a marriage.”

“The wedding was horrible,” Banfield-Norris conceded. “It was a mess. Jada was sick, she was very unpleasant … She didn’t cooperate with anything.”

Jada agreed before confessing: “And I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so pissed I went crying down the freaking aisle. I cried the whole way down the aisle.”

However, in retrospect, the couple agreed that marrying each other was “the right call.”

“It’s been a nightmare for everyone,” a source close to the family exclusively tells Us Weekly.

“Will knows the road to redemption is going to be a long and painful one, and there’s a part of him that’s grown to accept he’ll never be able to fully repair the damage that was caused.”

Smith’s family, which includes wife Jada Pinkett Smith, sons Tre, 29, and Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21, has stayed silent about the matter to avoid drawing even more attention to the situation.

“They know the best course of action is to stay tight-lipped,” the insider said. “The only healer is time.”

On March 27, the King Richard star whacked comedian Chris Rock on the 94th Academy Awards stage when he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head appearing in G.I. Jane 2.

While accepting the best actor Oscar for his performance in King Richard, the Philadelphia native apologised for his actions.

“I’m being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people,” an emotional Smith said at the time. “I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. … But love will make you do crazy things.”

The Gettin’ Jiggy With It rapper openly apologised to Rock the next day for his “unacceptable and inexcusable” outburst at the ceremony.
