Five terrorists including TTP commanders killed during IBO In North Waziristan: ISPR

Pakistan Army conducted two successful two intelligence based operations (IBO) in Mir Ali and Khaisur areas of North Waziristan.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an IBO during which five terrorists including two terrorist commanders Syed Raheem and Saufullah Noor  of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed.

Terrorist commander Syed Raheem remained involved in then terrorist activities against the security Forces from 2007, said ISPR.

ISPR further added, he was incharge of two suicide bombing centers in Wana and Mir Ali areas. He was tasked by hostile agencies for target killing, recruiting new terrorists and organizing them.

The terrorist commander was involved also involved in further terrorist activities during November 2020 till January 2021. He was involved in killing of four Maliks in Mir Ali area, three engineers working in a company in North Waziristan and many IEDs attacks.

Whereas, Commander Saifullah Noor was directly involved in different IED attacks on Security Forces in Khaisur, added ISPR.

Shaheen-3 flight test: MoFA appreciates the dedication of scientists, engineers

MoFA appreciates Shaheen 3 successful flight test

Pakistan has on Wednesday successfully conducted a flight test of ‘Shaheen-3′ surface to surface ballistic missile. 

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan conducted successful flight test of Shaheen-3 ballistic missile, having range of 2750 Kms. President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Services Chiefs have congratulated scientists & engineers.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) congratulate the nation on the conduct of successful flight test of Shaheen-3, and deeply appreciate the dedication, commitment and technical prowess of the scientists, engineers and the armed forces of Pakistan in making the launch successful.

Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafiz Chaudhry, in his weekly briefing today, said, “We deeply appreciate the dedication, commitment and technical prowess of the scientists, engineers and the armed forces of Pakistan in making the launch successful.”

He further said, “The successful flight test was part of Pakistan’s strategic capability manifestation, which is aimed at ensuring credible deterrence against any aggression.”

Earlier, Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar had said that there is “no organized terrorist infrastructure like in the past.”

Babar Iftikhar said that the objective of holding the press conference was to discuss the security of the country as well as the border situation.

He had added that the objective of holding the conference was to present an analysis of the security challenges of the past decade.

“The last 10 years were a challenging time in every aspect for Pakistan.” He added that in 2020 alone, the coronavirus pandemic and locust attacks put Pakistan’s food security and economy in danger.

Seven Pak-Army soldiers martyred in Balochistan terrorist attack

Terrorist fire raid on Frontier Corps Balochistan post in Sharig , Harnai, Balochistan late last night.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during intense exchange of fire, seven brave soldiers embraced martyrdom while repulsing raiding terrorists.

Area has been cordoned off and escape routes have been blocked to apprehend fleeing miscreants, said ISPR.

A large scale search and clearance operation is in progress.

In a press release, the spokesperson of ISPR said, such cowardly acts by inimical elements backed by anti state forces will not be allowed to sabotage hard earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.

Security forces are determined to thwart their nefarious designs at all costs, said the spokesperson.

Moreover, the Pakistan Army military wing has released names of the soldiers who embrace shahadat.

The martyred soldiers include:

A soldier of the Pakistan Army Naik Shoaib embraced shahadat after fighting off terrorists in Silak Kaur area near Balochistan’s Awaran district.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) regarding presence of terrorists and their facilitators in Awaran district. In this regard, the forces conducted a search and clearance operation.

ISPR said that due to an “intense exchange of fire” with the terrorists during the operation, Naik Shoaib embraced martyrdom.

However, one terrorist was killed and one goes apprehended. Cache of arms, ammunition and communication equipment recovered from hideout, said ISPR.

Earlier on December 21, a soldier of the Pakistan Army Lance Naik Muhammad Iqbal embraced martyrdom after fighting off terrorists near in the Jatt Bazar area near Balochistan’s Awaran district.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has on Tuesday (today) presided the 237th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
