Sunny Deol, riding high on the success of his recent film “Gadar 2,” which has set the box office ablaze with remarkable numbers, has found himself entangled in a financial predicament. Despite his extensive nationwide promotional efforts for the movie in recent months, news has surfaced about his struggles to clear a substantial outstanding debt of Rs 56 crore linked to his prized Juhu property. This financial conundrum had put his property on the brink of being auctioned off. However, there’s a twist in this tale as the Bank of Baroda has now opted to retract the auction notice due to technical intricacies.

In a significant development reported, the Bank of Baroda has released a corrigendum clarifying its decision to withdraw the auction notice for Sunny Deol’s Juhu property due to technical reasons. The official statement from the bank reads, “A corrigendum to the E-Auction Sale Notice dated 19.08.2023, published in The Times of India Mumbai Edition (Pg.3) dated 20.08.2023, regarding the Sale Notice pertaining to Mr. Ajay Singh Deol, alias Mr. Sunny Deol, stands withdrawn due to Technical Reasons for the property described as follows: All that piece and parcel of land bearing Survey No. 41 Hissa No 5 (Pt) CTS No. 173 of Village Juhu Taluka Andheri Mumbai Suburban Dist, admeasuring 599.44 Sq Mtrs underneath a structure known as Sunny Villa situated at Gandhigram Road Juhu Mumbai 400049. Bearing New Municipal Assessment No. 00121047 situated in the registration District and Sub-district of Mumbai Suburban.”

On a related note,previously reported that Sunny’s lavish Juhu property, aptly named Sunny Villa, was on the brink of being auctioned due to unsettled debts. This property holds not only sentimental value for the Deol family but also houses their office and a prominent post-production studio called Sunny Super Sound. The Bank of Baroda had issued a stern notice to the actor, cautioning that unless he manages to settle the unpaid amount of Rs 55.99 crore, his cherished property would face virtual auction proceedings on September 25, 2023. This substantial loan was initially acquired by Sunny, with his father Dharmendra stepping in as the guarantor for the transaction. As of now, Sunny Deol has yet to release any official statement regarding this challenging financial situation.

So, it was just a catch-up.” The actor of “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” also discussed the aforementioned viral video, which she later shared on her Instagram. “He happens to love that song of mine. Notably, “Gadar 2” has firmly established its dominance by setting a new second-weekend record that’s anticipated to reign supreme for a considerable span. This feat has managed to dethrone the historic reign of “Bahubali 2,” an accomplishment that eluded the film industry for over five years.

The cumulative earnings for “Gadar 2” over its first 10 days have surged to an impressive Rs 370 crore. With its momentum unrelenting, the film is poised to join the elite Rs 400 crore club by the coming Tuesday or Wednesday. Notably, “Gadar 2” has already surpassed the lifetime collections of blockbuster hits such as “War,” “Sultan,” “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” “PK,” “Sanju,” and “Tiger Zinda Hai.” Now, it’s setting its sights on surpassing “Dangal” in terms of total collections by the second Monday. In a striking turn of events, even the much-hyped “KGF: Chapter 2” is poised to be outperformed by “Gadar 2” by the upcoming Friday, signaling the beginning of the film’s journey towards surpassing the lifetime collections of both “Bahubali 2” and “Pathaan,” ultimately securing its position as an all-time grosser.

The renunciation letter has now arrived (and) soon my new passport will arrive as well.” He humorously added, “What can I do, I’m not responsible for the pandemic.” Despite the challenging climate, Akshay’s recent release, “OMG 2,” alongside Pankaj Tripathi, has performed well at the box office, even against competition like “Gadar 2.”

Additionally, he is set to star in the untitled Hindi remake of “Soorarai Pottru,” slated for a September 1 theatrical release, alongside Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal. Further on, he features in the action thriller “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” with Tiger Shroff, scheduled for Eid 2024.

During a candid conversation with Puja Talwar, Sunny Deol shared insights into the period when he embarked on launching his brother, Bobby Deol, in the world of Bollywood. He revealed that during the 1990s, their attempts to collaborate with various filmmakers met resistance. Sunny recalled, “I remember approaching numerous directors when I was launching Bobby, but nobody was willing to join hands with us.”

For those unfamiliar, Bobby Deol made his debut in 1995 with the film “Barsaat,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie featured Bobby opposite actress Twinkle Khanna and marked the beginning of his successful journey, earning him several accolades. Sunny Deol, gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Gadar 2, has shared his thoughts on his father Dharmendra’s recent on-screen kiss with actress Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar’s directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

During a busy promotional schedule for Gadar 2, Sunny took a moment to discuss the highly talked-about scene in his father’s latest release. Though he hasn’t watched the film yet, Sunny expressed complete confidence in Dharmendra’s ability to pull off any role. He praised his father’s versatility and said, “My dad can do anything, and he’s the only actor I would say who can carry it off. I didn’t see it; I have heard about it. I don’t watch films much, not even my own.”

When asked if he had discussed the scene with his father, Sunny humorously replied, “No! I mean, how can I talk to my dad about that? He is a personality who can carry anything because of his humbleness, honesty…”

Dharmendra, in a previous media interaction, had also playfully reacted to the kissing scene, saying, “Whenever I get a chance, I straightaway throw a sixer. So, if I have been given a chance, I will not lose it.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is currently running successfully in cinemas, already crossing the 100-crore mark at the Indian box office.
