As the highly anticipated sequel to his 2001 blockbuster, Gadar prepares to hit theaters, Sunny Deol is leaving no stone unturned in promoting Gadar 2. After more than two decades, the film is set to captivate audiences once again, and Sunny Deol is on a mission to spread awareness and excitement about the upcoming release. In a recent promotional interview, the actor delved into discussions about the dynamics of Bollywood camps and the challenges he faced while launching his younger brother, Bobby Deol, into the industry.

Reflecting on the Time He Launched Bobby Deol

During a candid conversation with Puja Talwar, Sunny Deol shared insights into the period when he embarked on launching his brother, Bobby Deol, in the world of Bollywood. He revealed that during the 1990s, their attempts to collaborate with various filmmakers met resistance. Sunny recalled, “I remember approaching numerous directors when I was launching Bobby, but nobody was willing to join hands with us.”

For those unfamiliar, Bobby Deol made his debut in 1995 with the film “Barsaat,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie featured Bobby opposite actress Twinkle Khanna and marked the beginning of his successful journey, earning him several accolades. Prior to this venture, Sunny Deol and director Rajkumar Santoshi had previously collaborated on hit films such as “Ghayal” and “Damini.”

Sunny Deol’s Candid Observations on Bollywood’s Pretentious Nature

Sunny Deol further addressed the prevalent topic of Bollywood camps and their often pretentious nature. Despite hailing from a prestigious film family, Sunny disclosed that he has never been a part of any such camp. He shed light on the facade within the industry, where individuals would display warmth and camaraderie that often proved insincere. He remarked, “People come to you, embrace you, and meet you as if they hold deep affection for you, but much of that is superficial. Many address me as ‘paaji,’ a term of respect for an elder brother, but it doesn’t always hold true.”

Sunny Deol candidly expressed his views on the industry’s dynamics, emphasizing that the façade persists due to the remarkable acting talents possessed by individuals off-screen. He added, “There are ongoing undercurrents in this industry, given the skilled actors that people are, perhaps not just on the screen.”

Gadar 2’s Grand Arrival

As the release date of August 11 draws near, excitement for Gadar 2 continues to build. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, reunites actors Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in their iconic roles from the original film, “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.” Anticipation runs high as fans eagerly await the return of this beloved saga to the silver screen.

Yami Gautam remembers a “young kid” secretly filming her in her birthplace

Yami Gautam
  • Yami Gautam recalled an incident in her hometown in Himachal Pradesh where a teen recorded her without her consent
  • She shared her reaction and how a line needs to be drawn between celebrities.
  • Alia was clicked with a zoom lens from an adjoining building.

In a recent interview, actor Yami Gautam described an incident that happened in her homeland of Himachal Pradesh when a teenager asked to take a photo with her but actually began recording her instead. She was referring to the invasion of privacy of famous people following the unauthorized photography of Alia Bhatt in her living room. According to Yami, the boy’s video was then uploaded online as a vlog and viewed by millions of people.
Many celebrities discussed their comparable experiences with photographers before Yami made her confession. Alia was photographed with a zoom lens from a nearby structure. A media portal posted the same pictures online. Yami addressed the necessity for a distinction to be made between celebrities when asked about her response to the incident.

Yami said to Puja Talwar, “Aaj kal koi aise le k video bana raha hoga,” during their talk (These days anyone can record a video anytime, without consent). A young boy—probably between the ages of 19 and 20—came to my farm and asked my employees, “May we take a picture?” I’m really welcoming and open to everyone. People want to come and visit this small village and chat. And I’m thrilled to do it. I mistakenly believed he was shooting a photo, but it was actually a video. He’s celebrating his vlog after a video of…it was so terrible and that individual reportedly received millions of views.

The actor continued, “It may appear like I’m so delighted that I’m receiving a lot of comments or publicity, but that just means that it has inspired that person to do it again with someone. And encourage others to do it, Puja joked. What they did was. They all returned home with cameras and are currently touring my house. “What is happening?” I ask. What’s our destination? You’re making this so typical for the coming generation. Without a border being drawn, anything is unacceptable. This is not acceptable, Yami continued.

Yami frequently posts pictures of her modest home in her hometown, which includes a farm. Last year, she displayed a picture of her morning in the mountains during the winter and stated, “Good morning. I’m at my favorite location, Kohar in Himachal Pradesh, and I’ll be taking you on a tour of my farm shortly to show you what we grow and what we do there. I cannot wait to share this with you guys. Merry Christmas and good health to all.”

Recently, Yami was spotted in the much-delayed this month premiere of Lost. Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is the director. Oh My God 2 and Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga are two of her movies.
