KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari formed a parliamentary board to give party tickets to the candidates of Balochistan.

According to the party declaration, the parliamentary board will consist of eight-members to issue tickets to the candidates for the elections.

The parliamentary board will include Changez Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar, Sarbuland Khan Jogezai, Ali Madad Jattak, Mir Baz Muhammad Khetran, Mir Sadiq Umrani, Saber Baloch and Ghazala Gola.

The parliamentary board will also consult the divisional and district presidents regarding award of the party tickets.

Earlier, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had constituted provincial parliamentary boards of the party which will approve tickets for candidates for the coming general elections in January next year in the country.

The divisional and district presidents will also be invited for consultation in these provincial election boards.

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) has devised a comprehensive strategy to mobilise the party and its workers across the Punjab province.

A meeting of the Central Executive Committee of Pakistan People’s Party was held in Bilawal House Lahore a few days ago, which was presided over by former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

In the meeting of the CEC of the People’s Party, consultations were held regarding the upcoming general elections and the distribution of party tickets, and the plan was set.

Sources say that the People’s Party has formulated a strategy to mobilize the party in Punjab and in this regard, the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also directed the party leadership to prepare for the elections.

According to the sources, the People’s Party will start the election campaign in Central and South Punjab through a convention, which will be addressed by Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

SUKKUR: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that there is no level playing field for everyone even the general elections are around the corner, and urged that the old way of running the country has to be abandoned.

He further said that the solution to the problems facing the country is “Awami Raj” (people’s rule), and the elected representatives of the people must be seated in Islamabad.

After condoling with the family of journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar, who was killed by armed assailants in Sukkur last month, the PPP chairman, while talking to the media, said that the brutal killing of Mahar was too much to condemn.

He said that the progress in this case was not done in the way it should have been and many questions have been raised in the matter. “The officers who have been posted in Karachi are from other provinces, so they may not have an idea, but the whole of Sindh is demanding that justice be given to the slain journalist,” he added.

In response to a question asked by a journalist, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that currently there is a level playing field for some in the country, but not for others, and I object to that (situation).

Chairman PPP said that the policemen who are fighting dacoits in Kacha area need all our support, adding that the American weapons left in Afghanistan are now being used by terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as dacoits in Sindh’s Kacha region.

Chairman PPP said that terrorism is rising all over the country because the policy of the PPP has not been implemented.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan spoiled the national security policy in a few days, and when the Taliban government came to Afghanistan, he also opened the way for the terrorists who had escaped from the prisons of Afghanistan.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that in the areas where there is no electricity for 18 hours, the electricity bill reflects as if electricity has been used for 24 hours.

KARACHI: A meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) was held in which the members expressed confidence in former President Asif Zardari and Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

According to the sources, the political and economic situation of the country was discussed in the PPP CEC meeting.
The sources said that the members presented suggestions related to the general elections in the country and said that the PPP should take a stand to hold the elections in 90 days.

Sources say that Senior PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan also put forward legal arguments regarding holding the elections in 90 days.

Sources Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood suggested a public communication campaign and visits to the flood-affected areas of the Punjab.

According to the PPP spokesman, the CEC members expressed confidence in Co-Chairman Asif Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

THATTA:  Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the establishment of Liaquat University of Medical Sciences’ International Medical College and Technological College in the historical city of Thatta is the fulfillment of another promise the provincial government of PPP had made.

“This college is bound to open new vistas of medical education and employment in the entire Lar region,”.

This he said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly established International Medical College and Technological College by LUMS.

Shah said that the establishment of the International College is a significant milestone to strengthen higher education and healthcare systems. “The concept of the International College is in line with the global economic development based on the `Knowledge economy’. He gave examples of developed countries like the UK and the USA and said that their economy was largely based on their Higher Educational Institutes.

KARACHI: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday laid foundation of the FPCCI Tower, a monumental project that promises to elevate Pakistan’s economic landscape.

The ceremony took place during his visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the country’s apex trade body.

Addressing the ceremony,  Bilawal Bhutto said it is no less than a milestone in Pakistan’s economic history and will go a long way to support succeeding governments’ efforts to enhance Pakistan’s exports; promote industrialization; attain import substitution; forge international trade relations and sustainably achieve rapid economic growth for the future generations to come.

Foreign Minister expressed his profound satisfaction that the vision of his late mother and two-time Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, has reached a point where he is laying down the foundation of FPCCI Tower – a pivotal platform needed to put Pakistan on a high-growth trajectory through enabling the business, industry and trade community of Pakistan to perform to their full potential.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also invited FPCCI delegation to Bilawal House to discuss the issues affecting the exports, industry, cost of doing business, interest rate, inflation and slowed down economic growth rate of Pakistan as a result.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his speech at the ceremony in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Afghanistan has been demanded to stop terrorism as Pakistan also has terrorism and Afghanistan also has terrorism. He said stopping terrorism is in the interest of both countries.

He said that Pakistan’s policy on terrorism is clear, the weapons and supplies left by NATO are with the terrorists in some places. He said Pakistan is ready to help Afghanistan to fight terrorism.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that after the occupation of Kabul, the incidents of terrorism have increased in Pakistan.

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated Zia Moheyddin Flyover constructed by the Local Government department at Johar Chowarngi to resolve the traffic jam issue of the people of the area.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister Local Govt Nasir Shah, minister Information Sharjeel Memon, Minister Social Welfare Shahla Raza, and others.

Minister Local Govt Syed Nasir Shah briefing the chairman PPP said that the Flyover and Underpass at Johar Chowarngi intersection project has been launched for Rs2.14 billion. He added that the work on the flyover has been completed while the work on the underpass was in progress.

The work on the flyover was started in October 2022 and it stands completed while the construction of the underpass was launched in March 2023.

The length of the flyover is 461 meters while its width is 18.2 meters. The length of the bridge is 226 meters. It has been installed double arm poles with LED lights.

The chairman urged the local government minister to speed up work on the underpass so that it could be completed at the earliest.
