President, PM express grief over death of Pervez Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed grief over the death of former president Pervez Musharraf.

While expressing his condolences to the heirs of former president Pervez Musharraf, the President Arif Alvi prayed for forgiveness for the late president and also prayed for patience for the heirs.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while expressing sorrow over the death of former army chief Pervez Musharraf said that he expresses his condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased.

Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and patience for the family.

Apart from this, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi has also expressed his grief over the death of Pervez Musharraf.

According to the Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, the Naval Chief prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased.

President, PM pledge to take Pakistan on path of prosperity

ISLAMABAD::President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed upon the nation to renew its journey of transforming Pakistan into a peaceful, prosperous, and welfare Islamic state based on golden Islamic democratic tenets.

In his message, President Arif Alvi while felicitating the Pakistani nation and the international community on the arrival of the new year 2023, prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the motherland, the entire Muslim Ummah, and the world.

The president recollecting the past year’s challenges confronted by the Pakistani nation including Covid 19 pandemic and floods, said that they had surmounted all those issues by virtue of their hard work, valour, sacrifices, resolve, and determination.

After containing the coronavirus pandemic, huge areas of Pakistan were inundated by historic floods, he said, adding that during the floods, he had undertaken visits to the affected areas and reviewed the losses.

He said that he not only came across such vast devastation but also witnessed the determination, sacrifices, unity, patriotism, and resolve of the nation.

The president also underpinned the adoption of habits to conserve and utilize natural resources and energy with responsibility and emphasized upon the need of focusing on the development of human resources and education.

On other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his resolve to take Pakistan toward the destination of economic and political stability and social betterment.

In a message on the eve of the new year, PM prayed for the prosperity and welfare of the whole of humanity.

He said that 2022, was a year in which flood devastation increased miseries and problems for the people. He reiterated to bring light into the lives of 33 million flood-affected people of the country in the year 2023.

He wished that the new year might be an end to price hikes and terrorism and ensure security to lives and economic prosperity.

He also prayed for the freedom of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
