RAWALPINDI: Relief operations by the Armed forces were carried out in various flood-hit areas of Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh, and KPK. The Army personnel are also assisting civil administration and rescuing flood-affected citizens, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR report, supplies and ready-made meals are also being distributed to flood-affected provinces. Rescue efforts are continuing in Hyderabad, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Naushahro Feroze, and other parts of Sindh. Two army helicopters have been sent to Interior Sindh to assist with rescue efforts.

“Affected populations and their belongings are being shifted to safer places. Army medical teams are providing medical care to affected people,” the ISPR said.

According to the military media wing, “Pak Army and FC troops are engaged in flood Rescue and relief operations in Balochistan. Relief activities are ongoing in Quetta, Pashin, Qila Saifullah, Ziarat, Zhob, Loralai, and Nushki. Relief Camps were also established in Naseerabad, Lasbela, and Dukki. ”

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In the vicinity of Kulachi, terrorists attacked a police van with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb, where Pakistan Army’s Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area, Inter-Services Public Relations released a statement on Wednesday.

The Army media house claims that two terrorists were killed on the spot. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the terrorists. According to ISPR, the locals of Kulachi appreciated the operations of the Pakistan Army, and the residents also expressed their full support for the elimination of terrorism from the area.

Earlier, on August 9, in a suicide attack in North Waziristan, four soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom. The Pakistan Army’s media wing said that a Pakistan Army convoy was targeted in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali as a result, four personnel, namely Lance Naik, Shahzaib, Lance Naik, Sajjad, Sepoy, Umair, and Sepoy Khurram, embraced martyrdom. The ISPR further said the Pakistan Army is committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country.

The prime minister expressed heartfelt sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of four soldiers as a result of the attack. PM Sharif said the evil designs of terrorists would be futile. He paid tribute to the martyred troops for sacrificing their lives for the homeland.

RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers of Pakistan Army soldiers martyred in a helicopter accident during flood relief operations in Balochistan were held in their hometowns, attended by top military officials, civilians, and relatives, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement.

According to ISPR, Major Talha Shaheed’s Namaz-e-Janaza was held in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. The prayer was attended by Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas, Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, top serving and former military officials, Shaheed’s family, and individuals from all walks of life.

Major Talha was buried with full military honors, including a guard of honor provided by a Pakistan Army contingent. Lt. Gen. Mirza presented his father with the National Flag and lay a wreath on his father’s tomb.

Naik Mudassar Fayyaz’s funeral prayer was offered in Shakargarh, Narowal. The General Officer Commanding Sialkot Garrison attended the burial, and top military and civil authorities, including district police officers and the deputy commissioner.

A guard of honor was offered to the Shaheed by a contingent of the Pakistan Army, while the National Flag was delivered to his family and a wreath was set on his tomb.

SHAKARGARH: The funeral prayers of Chief Naik Mudassar Fayyaz were offered on Wednesday with full military honor at Government High School ground. Senior military, civil, and political personnel were present in huge numbers. Floral wreaths sent by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) were also laid, BOL News reported.

Chief Naik Mudassar Fayyaz was one of the martyrs of the helicopter crash in Lasbela, along with five other senior Army officials. On the arrival of the martyr’s body at his home, wrapped in the flag of Pakistan, his widowed wife couldn’t control her emotions. The family of the martyred soul was surrounded by the cascade and wept for the last time at his coffin. After his funeral prayers were offered at High School ground, and the martyred soul was laid to rest in the local graveyard of Shakargarh.

Chief Naik Mudassar Fayyaz was the last of the four brothers and sisters. He married one and a half years ago. The mother of the martyred soul told the media that she is proud of her son’s martyrdom.

All the six officers and soldiers, including Lt General Sarfraz Ali, Brig (Approved Major General) Amjad Hanif, Brig Muhammad Khalid, Major Saeed Ahmed, Major M. Talha Manan, and Naik Mudassar Fayyaz embraced Shahadat in a helicopter crash during the flood operation in Balochistan.

ISPR: Pakistan Army assisting authorities during urban flooding

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army troops are assisting authorities in rescue and relief efforts in areas hit by recent urban flooding in various parts of the country, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement.

ISPR in its statement claimed that Pakistan Army Emergency Response teams are consistently busy dewatering and supplying basic food necessities and medical care to affected populations. Pakistan Army dewatering teams are carrying flood relief operations in District Jamshoro, Gharo Grid station, and South Karachi including Shahra e Faisal and Nipa Chowrangi, Lasbela, Turbat, and Quetta.

According to the report, the Pakistan Army assisting authorities and establishes Relief Camps including Medical facilities, and distributes necessary food and ration among the local residents. Various Standby and response teams are stationed at various locations in Sindh and Balochistan for relief activities and to counter any emergency circumstances due to flooding.
