Joe Biden to address Americans today following Trump’s victory in election

Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden is set to deliver a somber address to the nation today, promising a peaceful transfer of power to Donald Trump after his political rival triumphed in the election against Kamala Harris, according to AFP reports.

In what is expected to be a difficult moment for Biden, he will speak from the Rose Garden of the White House at 11 am (9 pm Pakistan time) to “discuss the election results and the transition” to Trump’s second term.

Despite the personal challenge, Joe Biden appears determined to distinguish himself from Trump, who refused to concede his 2020 election loss to Biden, culminating in the violent January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection by Trump supporters.

In an effort to maintain a presidential tone, Biden has invited Trump to meet at the White House, even though their relationship has been marked by years of bitter rivalry. This would be their first meeting since Biden’s poor performance in a debate with Trump in June, which ultimately led to Biden withdrawing from the race.

It is important to note that in the presidential election held yesterday, Donald Trump was re-elected as the President of the United States.

Trump won in 27 states, including Eastern Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia, while Kamala Harris claimed victory in 19 states.

In the U.S. presidential election, out of 538 electoral votes, Republican candidate Donald Trump secured 277 votes, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 226 electoral votes. Any candidate needed at least 270 electoral votes out of the total of 538 to win the presidency.

Liam Payne’s family finally brings singer’s body home amid ongoing investigation

Liam Payne's body
  • Liam Payne’s father will bring his son’s body back home for burial.
  • The delay in releasing the body was due to toxicology testing.
  • The toxicology reports took longer than usual in this case.

Geoff Payne, the father of the late singer, has arrived in the country to bring his son’s body back home for burial. The delay in releasing the singer’s body was primarily due to the lengthy process of toxicology testing.

The toxicology reports took longer than usual in this case, as the possibility of unknown substances affecting any drugs the singer may have taken complicated the results. A security source confirmed to local media that the body has now been released from the judicial morgue.

Footage from a local journalist shows the coffin already aboard a flight on Wednesday, with the singer’s remains being transported home.

A memorial service is planned, and it is expected that members of One Direction – Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson – will attend to pay their respects. While the singer’s funeral preparations continue, the investigation into his death remains ongoing.

The police have stepped up their efforts in tracking down those responsible for selling drugs to the singer. On Tuesday night, law enforcement carried out another round of raids, targeting two hotel employees and one of the singer’s “friends.” The raids, which included searching the workers’ lockers and reviewing hotel security footage, aim to uncover the source of the drugs that contributed to the singer’s demise.

According to TMZ, the investigation has led to the identification of the “friend” who allegedly sold the drugs, although he was not at home during the raid. Authorities continue to pursue leads as part of the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s tragic death.
