ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for suspension of sentence in the Iddat case.
PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi has filed a petition for suspension of sentence in the Islamabad High Court through Barrister Salman Safdar.
In the petition filed by Bushra Bibi, it has been stated that the prosecution presented weak evidence full of contradictions in the court, based on this evidence the sentence could not be imposed, and the sentence given by the trial court cannot be sustained.
It has been argued in the petition that Bushra Bibi has been kept in the worst conditions in the prison to be a target of political revenge. It is necessary to fulfill the requirements of justice that the petition for suspension of sentence should be disposed of soon.
In Bushra Bibi’s petition, it has been requested that the court suspend the decision of the February 3 sentence and issue orders to release her on bail.
It should be noted that on February 3, the civil court sentenced Bushra Bibi to 7 years in prison in this case.
