Aima Baig, a great and tenacious pop artist in Pakistan’s music industry, suddenly shut her Instagram account for an unspecified reason.

Her fans and followers were happy when she published some photos of herself with her family from Dubai wearing a stylish floral bandeau and leather shorts, and they are now wondering why she abruptly closed her account.

 

Since quite some time, the singer has been making headlines. She gained notoriety due to her sensational split from her fiancé Shahbaz Shigri. British model Taloulah Mair claims the pop star cheated on Shahbaz Shigri with her lover Qes Ahmed shortly after the breakup news broke.

According to the model, Qes is a womaniser and con guy who has had numerous affairs with numerous women, including Aima. The British model went on a social media tirade, publishing explicit comments and using nasty language to criticise Aima and her ex-boyfriend.

This year, Aima’s circumstances weren’t as favourable. She first caused controversy when her cover of Kaifi Khalil’s Pyar Hua Tha song went popular for the wrong reasons, and then she reignited the memes by re-following her ex-fiance on social media. And now, only God knows what transpired to prompt her to decide to disconnect from social media once more.

One of the most well-known Bollywood couples, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, continue to set relationship goals. Gauri was actually his first lover, and the two have been married for 31 years, raising three children together: Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan. In relation to the long-standing pair, a vintage film of Shah Rukh soothing a frazzled Gauri has been discovered online. Gauri was reassured by the actor’s entrancing comments throughout his demanding work schedule.

The footage appears to have been shot on a movie set. While speaking on the phone with Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh was seen sporting glasses. “Gauri, just let go of all this,” he counsels a distressed Gauri. You’ve known me for far too long to be talking about my sleeping habits. You simply unwind. Itna toh kar lunga main. As someone who is 44 years old, I am capable of doing this much. I am 44 years old, and I am capable.

Shah Rukh wasn’t by himself, though. The voice of filmmaker Karan Johar may also be heard in the clip. In the midst of their chat, Shah Rukh said to his wife, “Karan is claiming it’s all phony, your problem.” Then Karan said, “Lies. Similar to how it referred to your financial status. Shah Rukh relayed his message to Gauri on call, saying, “Yeah, just like how you know my financial position.” That merely cut down on her purchasing, said Karan. Shah Rukh playfully replied to Gauri, “So just stop your shopping, Karan has advised,” while trying to hold back his laughter.

Netizens demand ban on the Scrapfest festival

Originally a competition for scrap metal artwork, Scrap Fest has evolved into a whole art festival with a focus on upcycled and repurposed art. The festival also offers live music, food, family activities, and eco-art booth merchants. It can now be referred to as an LGBTQ festival with Canadian roots. The event will be held in Pakistan’s Karachi this year. Urvah Khan, a Pakistani singer of Canadian descent, is presenting the concert, which will include underground and trans acts. The event is currently being promoted.

The government was encouraged by social media users to investigate and outlaw this event. Strong action was demanded by the public to stop it. Look out the Tweets criticizing Scrapfest:

Maria B is a strong opponent in Pakistan and was the first to criticize this event. The general public is equally incensed and demands that drastic measures be taken against the Scrap Fest, which is here to trample on the identities of Muslims and followers of other religions. They advised raising our voices before it was too late. People claim that this festival is a threat to all religious teachings because no faith endorses it and that it is tragic to observe the constantly expanding LGBTQ community in Pakistan. It is alarming to see events like “ScrapFest” organized publicly in Karachi.

They claimed that the Muslim Ummah’s silence will make them liable to Allah. They exhorted the populace to speak out against it before the LGBTQ activities took off like wildfire.

National Apex Committee meeting being held today

ISLAMABAD: The National Apex Committee meeting will be held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting of the Apex Committee will be held in Peshawar today, in which measures will be taken to eliminate terrorism and upgrade the Anti-Terrorism Department and Police in the context of the recent incident of terrorism in the provincial capital.

The meeting of the committee to be held at Governor House Peshawar will be attended by federal ministers, chief ministers of four provinces & Gilgit-Baltistan, the prime minister of Azad Kashmir, security forces, police officials, and senior government officials.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister has also invited two representatives of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) to the meeting of the Apex Committee and in this regard, the invitation letter has been sent through Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq.

The minister requested the PTI leaders to inform about the two representatives nominated by the party for the Apex Committee meeting.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an “all parties” conference on February 7 to cope with the challenges faced by the country.

Shehbaz has invited his nemesis and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as well in the meeting to discuss the national issues.

Faraaz, Hansal Mehta’s most recent film, examines the actual circumstances surrounding a terrorist assault in a Bangladeshi café in 2016. Aditya Rawal plays the lead role in the movie, which also features Zahaan Kapoor and depicts a group of young people who become violent for religious reasons. The drama also introduces Sachin Lalwani, Jatin Sareen, Ninad Bhatt, Harshal Pawar, Reshham Sahaani, and Abhirami Bose. Faraaz made its international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2022 and will be distributed in theaters on February 3.

The movie stars newbie Zahaan as Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain, a young Muslim who refuses to leave his pals when the café is taken hostage by militants. Zahaan is the grandson of actor Shashi Kapoor and filmmaker Ramesh Sippy. After the attack, the young guy received the Mother Teresa Memorial International Award. A companion piece to his previous films Shahid (2012) and Omerta (2017), which also examined terrorism and religion, Hansal referred to his most recent work as such.

In an interview , the director responded as follows when asked if his movie was a reaction to the declining liberal discourse: “It is crucial to understand that rabid voices have replaced the liberal voices in the debate over good Muslims and bad Muslims as a result of the withdrawal of the former. The people who supported Shahid have dwindled in number as skepticism and fear have gradually taken hold.”

Added he, “I wanted to have that conversation since I come from a liberal environment rather than avoiding it. Faraaz does not dispute with the concerns when the terror group’s head asks him why he does not see what is occurring in Palestine or what the US is doing in West Asia. He claims that the world is filled with many problems, but he queries whether this is the solution.”

Kareena Kapoor will play a detective and mother in Hansal‘s upcoming movie, provisionally titled The Buckingham Murders, similar to Kate Winselt in the online series Mare of Easttown. Additionally, he is the director of the Netflix original series Scoop, which stars Karishma Tanna as crime reporter Jigna Vora who was imprisoned for another journalist.
