Pervez Khattak targeting PML-N

Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif would be ‘taught a lesson’ for speaking against the state institutions.

But, the government would never extend the NRO to the looters of the national wealth, he added.

While referring to Nawaz Sharif’s statements about military leadership, Khattak said he would be taught a lesson for speaking against the state institutions.

“Maulana could not live without power,” the defence minister said.

He made these remarks while addressing a gathering also attended by Chairman of the Standing Committing of National Assembly on Energy Imran Khattak, Member Provincial Assembly Idrees Khattak, provincial assembly constituency PK-63 candidate Mian Umar Kakakhel and others.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed slammed the PML-N, accusing it of holding a meeting with the Indian lobby.

He said that the PML-N party had a two-point agenda, targeting institutions and defence establishments and portraying political leaders convicted by the courts as advocates of democracy.

Murad Saeed said that the opposition wanted NRO and instability in the country.

Referring to the recent controversial statement of PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq, he said that no apology was sought for the statement made in Parliament.
