US Election 2024: Republican party secure majority seats in US senate

US Election 2024

The Republican Party of Donald Trump has successfully gained a majority in the U.S. Senate, holding 51 seats. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris’ Democratic Party achieved 43 seats. A majority in the 100-seat Senate requires 51 seats.

Polling has ended in several states for the U.S. presidential election, and the counting of votes has begun, with results continuing to come in.

In the U.S. presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump has accumulated 277 electoral votes, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has earned 226, out of a total of 538. A candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes to secure victory.

Voting on Election Day began in New Hampshire, where the first vote was cast in the small town of Dixville Notch.

In his winning speech, Donald Trump expressed gratitude while addressing Americans from different backgrounds. He stated that America needs to be improved and that they would heal the wounds of the country, calling it a great victory for the American people.

Trump stated that it was the best campaign ever run, describing it as a political win for America. “My victory wouldn’t have been possible without your votes. I hoped to win 315 electoral votes. The American people have once again given us an extraordinary mandate. We succeeded in the battleground states, and our victory in the U.S. Senate is truly remarkable.”
