Imran Khan’s advisor to hold protest outside Avenfield House on Friday

PM advisor Shabizada Jahangir

Shabizada Jahangir, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s spokesperson on Trade and Investment in UK & Europe, has announced to hold a protest outside the Avenfield House on Friday to interrupt Nawaz Sharif’s speech to the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Gujranwala.

Earlier, a message circulated in a WhatsApp group in which a claim was attributed to Sahibzada Jahangir, highlighting that Imran Khan had ordered him to hold the protest.

The message read,

“PM has directed me to organize a demonstration outside Nawaz Sharif’s house in London on Friday 16th Oct between 3 pm – 6 pm. This is the time NS will be addressing a Jalsa in Gujranwala. Our protest will be shown live in Pakistan on television. We will be standing in groups of 6 persons. Police have given us permission to stand at [a] distance in groups of 6.”

However, Jahangir had clarified the situation and said he was personally organizing the protest and Imran Khan had nothing to do with it. He further said to a reporter that except Imran Khan’s involvement part was false, however, the rest of the message was correct.

On the other hand, PTI UK’s elected body said it had no involvement in the protest and no official directions had been communicated for it.

Taqveem Ahsan Siddiqi, PTI’s elected Information Secretary said that PTI’s elected bodies know nothing about the protest and Jahangir must be “doing on his own”.

”PTI UK tanzeem is not into internal elections till the first week of November,” he added.

Meanwhile, Tariq Chaudhary also announced to protest on Friday outside Hasan Nawaz Sharif’s office. He said,

“My protest is outside an office”.
