Nawaz Sharif has history of issues with national institutions: Sheikh Rasheed

Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday said that Nawaz Sharif is the driving force behind a conspiracy against China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Addressing a press conference in provincial capital of Punjab, Sheikh Rasheed reiterated that ‘PML-S’ will part ways from PML-N and said that Nawaz Sharif has declared war against state institutions.

The minister also asked Maryam that why her father is not admitted in a hospital if he is seriously ill.

Rasheed said that Pakistan Army is greatest army in the world and no worker of Muslim League can be against country’s Army.

Nawaz Sharif has history of issues with national institutions, he added.

He also urged Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman to not be manipulated by other opposition parties and said that these parties have used JUI-F Chief a lot and not he should use them.

The Railways Minister also accused Nawaz Sharif of playing role in character assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Joe Jonas dyes hair pink to demonstrate support for breast cancer awareness

The month of October is considered breast cancer awareness month. Ahead of the awareness campaigns, Joe Jonas dyed his hair pink to demonstrate his support.

Joe Jonas demonstrated his support for the cause by dyeing his hair hot pink and showing the look off on Instagram Stories.

The 31-year-old singer added a pink breast cancer ribbon filter to his social media selfie as to the reason for his hair color.

His new look comes months after his wife Sophie Turner shaved his head as they self-isolated in Los Angeles.

The singer in May had revealed that he ‘was ready for a haircut already’ prior to the lockdowns.

‘My wife did it and it feels a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago,’ he shared, explaining that ‘I was like: “This is getting too much.” I couldn’t handle it.’

The former Disney Channel star also went platinum blonde in early August.

Earlier on July 22, Celebrity stars Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas welcome their first baby girl on July 22, reports said, and named their newborn Willa.

However, some fans of the couple have suggested that Sophie Turner, who starred in one of the hit TV shows Game of Thrones actually had the name actually appear twice in the series.

The full details of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s assets including lands, shares, bank accounts and vehicles have been revealed in the Toshakhana case.

According to the report submitted to the accountability court by NAB’s investigating officer, Nawaz Sharif and his dependents have properties in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Murree and Abbottabad.

Bungalow in Murree, 15 kanal house in Changla Gali Abbottabad and property in Upper Mall Lahore.

The reports said that Nawaz Sharif and his dependents own 135 Upper Mall in Lahore, 936 kanals in Mouza Manak, Lahore, 299 kanals in Mouza Baduksani, 103 kanals in Mouza Mall Raiwind, 312 kanals in Mouza Sultanke,14 kanal land in Sheikhupura district and 88 kanals in Mouza Ferozwatan

The former Prime Minister has 467,950 shares in Muhammad Bakhsh Textile Mills, 343,425 shares in Hudabia Paper Mills, 22,213 shares in Hudabia Engineering Company and 48,606 shares in Ittefaq Textile Mills.

Shahbaz Gill says there is no political threat from Nawaz Sharif

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shahbaz Gill has said that PML-N has become a ‘conspiratorial league’ and there is no political threat from Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a press conference, Shahbaz Gill said that the controversial, anti-national statements of PML-N supremo will harm Pakistan in the future and effects of his statements will become visible in 10 months.

Shahbaz Gill said that he was against airing Nawaz’s speeches as some of the speeches of PML-N supremo are not in the national interest.

PTI leader while accusing Sharif family of working for India said that Nawaz Sharif refused to meet leaders of Hurriyat Conference in India but now he has to answer why he met Indian businessman Sajjan Jindal.

Shahbaz also asked that can any Pakistani businessman go to India and meet its Prime Minister.

Renowned filmmaker Michael Moore thinks that US President Donald Trump may be lying about his COVID-19 diagnosis, saying the president might be faking his disease to postpone the presidential election.

Terming Donald Trump as a ‘professional liar’, Michael Moore ranted at length on his Facebook page where he mentioned that this could be Trump’s cunning plan to win sympathy in the upcoming polls.

“There is one absolute truth about Trump: He is a consistent, absolute, unrelenting, fearless, and professional liar. A serial liar. A factually proven liar,” Moore lashed out.

“How many lies now has the Washington Post proven in these four years? 25,000? A lie at least twice during every waking hour? Think of all the bad people you’ve known in your life. Even the worst ones you couldn’t say that about.”

“So why on earth would we believe him today?” Moore added further.

“Has he earned your trust now? No. Yet, we’re decent enough to not want him to be sick, to wish him well, and maybe just this once give him the benefit of the doubt because why would he lie about this?”

Garments factory catches fire in Gujranwala

A portion of a garment factory catches fire in Malik Pura neighborhood of Gujranwala.

Several rescue and firefighting teams rushed to the factory and started dousing the blaze.

According to rescue officials, two vehicles of fire brigade are taking part in the operation. Rescue sources said that the fire erupted due to short-circuit which turned machinery of the factory into ashes.

The incidents of fires are common in Pakistan due to the poor safety standards with inadequate fire extinguishers and fire alarm systems.

Earlier in June, an oil factory had caught fire which was doused after five hours of toil, five charred dead bodies of factory workers were pulled from the burning establishment by rescue workers.

The factory was housing almost 100,000 liters of oil which caught fire.

Coronavirus: Pakistan reported more casualties; death toll soars to 6,507

More eight Coronavirus related deaths reported in Pakistan during the past 24 hours, pushing the death toll from the disease to 6,507.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), as many as 35,071 samples were tested during this period, out of which 553 turned out to be positive.

The number of Covid-19 cases across the country has reached 313,984 with the addition of the new cases.

There are 8,884 active Coronavirus cases as 298,593 patients have recuperated from the infection.

More than 3.6 million tests have been conducted in the country. 511 of the patients under treatment at various hospitals across the country are said to be in critical condition.

So far, Sindh has reported 137,783 cases of the coronavirus, Punjab 99,665, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 37,908, Balochistan 15,323, Islamabad 16,713, Gilgit Baltistan 3,816, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2,776.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar tweeted that indoor restaurants and marriage halls are emerging as high contributors to the COVID-19 spread.

“NCOC today has directed all provinces and federating units to crack down on sop violations in these places. We must not allow the irresponsible behavior of some to put the health of everyone at risk.”
