Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, recently wrapped up his long-awaited marriage to Radhika Merchant after months of extravagant pre-wedding celebrations. The event has sparked widespread discussions among people and the media about its exorbitant cost.

According to reports from the Financial Times and various Indian media outlets, Anant Ambani’s wedding is being touted as the most expensive marriage ever held globally. The estimated total expenditure reportedly reached around Rs 5,000 crore, which includes substantial payments made to international stars like Justin Bieber, who received Rs 83 crore, and Rihanna, who earned Rs 74 crore for their appearances.

This figure surpasses the costs of famous weddings such as Princess Diana and Prince Charles’s, which totaled Rs 1,361 crore, and Sheikha Hind Bint bin Maktoum and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s, which amounted to Rs 1,144 crore, making it one of the most lavish weddings worldwide.

The Daily Mail also reported that a staggering Rs 2,500 crore was allocated specifically for the pre-wedding events, covering expenses like the luxurious Celebrity Ascent cruise liner, private jets, and extensive security measures.

Forbes estimates the overall cost of the entire wedding extravaganza to be between Rs 4,000 crore and Rs 5,000 crore ($0.6 billion), a fraction of the Ambani family’s immense net worth.

Blue-green Anarkali and golden shoes were Aishwarya Rai’s choice of attire. Her hair was done in the customary poker-straight manner. In a silver-blue outfit, Aaradhya looked lovely.

Anant wore a deep blue suit, and Radhika wore a golden lehenga for her special day. Isha Ambani donned a white lehenga, Shloka Ambani wore a cream lehenga with pastel flowers, and Nita Ambani wore a red-and-gold sari. Akash Ambani was dressed in a teal suit. The CEO of Encore Healthcare, Viren Merchant, is the father of Radhika. She is a native of Gujarat’s Kutch. She has eight years of Bharatnatyam training under Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts. After the Ambani family had a lavish Arangetram ceremony at Jio World Centre in June 2022, Radhika gained notoriety. The Tamil word “arangetram” refers to a dancer taking the stage after receiving professional instruction. After years of training, a student of Indian traditional dance and music is making their theatrical debut.

The actor showed up to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s engagement celebration wearing a white T-shirt, blue trousers, a casual black jacket, and white sneakers. The relatively understated appearance in a sea of kurtas, three-piece suits, and lehengas was, to put it mildly, unexpected. Instagram users agreed.
