As the release of his upcoming film ‘Ghoomer’ alongside Saiyami Kher approaches, Abhishek Bachchan has opened up about the importance of his family legacy and how his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is instilling the value of their surname in their daughter, Aaradhya.

During a recent conversation with Raj Shamani, Abhishek Bachchan shared insights into how Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is actively passing on the significance of the ‘Bachchan’ surname to their daughter.

Bachchan emphasized, “My surname holds immense reverence for me. My identity and accomplishments are closely tied to this surname, a legacy passed down by my grandfather and diligently upheld by my father.”

Discussing how Aishwarya imparts this legacy to their daughter, he added, “I observe my wife imparting these values to our daughter. Our approach is gentle; we don’t wish to burden her, but it’s essential that she honors the achievements and legacy of her father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. She must hold this heritage in high regard and protect its sanctity.”

The eagerly anticipated film ‘Ghoomer’ will see Abhishek Bachchan in the role of a strict cricket coach. Saiyami Kher will portray the inspiring journey of a paraplegic sportswoman who triumphs as a cricketer against all odds, guided by her coach.

In an exclusive interaction with Pinkvilla, Abhishek delved into his character, Padam Singh Sodhi, stating, “Paddy comes across as an emotionally sensitive individual in the film. However, his way of expression is paradoxical—displaying his emotions in a contrasting manner. This facet intrigued me, as he communicates his feelings through a bitter and acerbic demeanor, masking an underlying deep affection for his profession.”

Alongside Abhishek and Saiyami, ‘Ghoomer’ features prominent actors Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles. The movie is all set to grace theaters on August 18th.”

Actress Jaya Bachchan, a seasoned performer, once discussed her connection with Aishwarya Rai, her daughter-in-law. In a previous interview from 2010, Jaya claimed that she would tell Aishwarya Rai “on her face” if she didn’t like something about her. In addition, Jaya said she “doesn’t do politics behind her back.”
Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya’s actor-son, fell in love with Aishwarya while Dhoom 2 was being filmed. On January 14, 2007, it was revealed that they were engaged. On April 20, 2007, the couple exchanged vows at the Bachchan home in Mumbai, Prateeksha. On November 16, 2011, the couple gave birth to their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

During a Rediff interview, Jaya discussed Aishwarya, “She is my friend. I tell her directly if there is something about her that I don’t like. I don’t engage in politics in secret. She speaks up if she disagrees with me. The only distinction is that I am allowed to be a little more dramatic, and she must be more polite. You know I’m elderly. Just that.”

Abhishek discussed his mother and Aishwarya in a 2015 interview with DNA. The actor remarked, “Ma and Ash team up against me and speak to me in Bengali the entire time. (Laughs) Since Mom is Bengali and Aishwarya collaborated with Rituda (the late Rituparno Ghosh) in Chokher Bali, she is also quite fluent in the language. Thus, they begin speaking Bengali anytime they have to work together to oppose me.”

The following romance drama from Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, will include Jaya. Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, and Alia Bhatt also appear in the movie. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 28, 2023.

Aishwarya most recently appeared in Ponniyin Selvan 1, the epic historical action drama film from filmmaker Mani Ratnam that received overwhelmingly positive reviews. In addition to Aishwarya, Trisha Krishnan, Karthik Sivakumar, and Jayam Ravi also had lead parts in the movie. On September 30 of last year, Ponniyin Selvan was released.
She will soon be seen with Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Shiva Rajkumar in the movie Jailer. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced. In addition, Aishwarya will appear in  Ponniyin Selvan 2.

Anant wore a deep blue suit, and Radhika wore a golden lehenga for her special day. Isha Ambani donned a white lehenga, Shloka Ambani wore a cream lehenga with pastel flowers, and Nita Ambani wore a red-and-gold sari. Akash Ambani was dressed in a teal suit. Mukesh Ambani was dressed in a golden blazer and kurta pajama.

The CEO of Encore Healthcare, Viren Merchant, is the father of Radhika. She is a native of Gujarat’s Kutch. She has eight years of Bharatnatyam training under Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts. After the Ambani family had a lavish Arangetram ceremony at Jio World Centre in June 2022, Radhika gained notoriety. The Tamil word “arangetram” refers to a dancer taking the stage after receiving professional instruction. After years of training, a student of Indian traditional dance and music is making their theatrical debut.

On the occasion of the anniversary of her father Krishnaraj Rai’s birth, Aishwarya Rai published a post in his honor. The actress uploaded a photo of herself and her daughter Aaradhya standing in front of the actor’s portrait in their home. Additionally, Aishwarya penned a brief birthday greeting for him. As she bid her farewell, she also offered her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Before she left, Aishwarya was heard saying Vrinda Rai, “Let me know when you arrive.”

Aishwarya is currently enjoying the success of her historical drama Ponniyin Selvan I at the box office and the positive feedback she is receiving for her role. Aishwarya plays two characters in the movie, the first of which is Nandini, who is Aditha Karikalan’s love interest and the wife of Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar. The other is Mandakini Devi, the mute mother of Nandini. Along with Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the Mani Ratnam movie also starred those actors. In all languages, the movie has amassed over 500 crores in international box office revenue.
