ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail at the Governor’s House Quetta on Friday.

During the meeting, the interior minister and Governor Balochistan condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.

The interior minister said that immediate measures would be taken at all levels to establish peace and security in Balochistan. He highlighted that the Apex Committee has decided to hold talks only with those who lay down their arms and recognize the Constitution of Pakistan. He underlined that there would be no negotiations with terrorists and this menace would be crushed with full force.

He further stated that the Apex Committee under the chairmanship of Prime Minister had decided to deal with those who do not accept the state with iron hands. He reiterated that terrorists and their facilitators would be given a befitting response and nobody would be allowed to challenge the writ of the state.

He assured that the requirements of Balochistan’s security forces, Frontier Corps, police and Levies would be fulfilled on priority basis. He underscored that it was the time to completely eliminate terrorists from Balochistan, and those who martyr our people would not be allowed to escape or hide.

Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail said that security forces and the people are united but few elements are trying to sabotage the peace.

Jaffar Mandokhail takes oath as Governor Balochistan

Quetta: Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandhokhail has taken oath as governor of Balochistan in a ceremony held at Governor House on Monday.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail was held at the Governor House Quetta where the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar administered the oath to him.

Outgoing Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar and Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti also participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Balochistan Governor.

The provincial ministers, members of assembly, political personalities and officials also participated in the ceremony.

Speaking to the media after the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Balochistan said that he will play the role of a bridge between the federal government and the province. The problems and difficulties of the province will be discussed with the federal government.

He said that there is no knowledge regarding fencing in Gwadar and added that if it is being installed for security purposes then it is a good thing.

Quetta: A session of Balochistan Assembly summoned for April 23 (today) has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

According to the announcement issued by the Balochistan Assembly Secretariat, it was called by Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar on April 23 at 3 pm.

It is being told that the session of the Provincial Assembly has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons, the new date of which will be announced later.

The current session of the Provincial Assembly was to continue for 10 days from April 23 to May 2.

QUETTA: Justice Hashim Khan Kakar took oath as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court(BHC) here on Saturday.

Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar administered the oath to the chief justice in a ceremony held at Governor House.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by CM Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Judges of High Court, Provincial Ministers, Parliamentarians, Provincial Secretaries and Senior Lawyers.

14-member Balochistan cabinet takes oath

QUETTA: A 14-member provincial cabinet of Balochistan took oath in a sworn-in ceremony held in the Governor House, Balochistan.

Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar administrated the oath.

Those who took oath included Sadiq Umrani, Ali Madad Jattak, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Noor Muhammad Dumar, Sardar Faisal Jamali, Bakht Kakar, Tariq Magsi, Shoaib Nosherwani, Raheela Hamed Durrani, Sarfraz Domki, Abdul Rehman Khetran, Saleem Khosa, ZIa Langau and AsimKurd Gailu.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, newly-elect MPAs, and IG Police attended the ceremony.

QUETTA: Senior politician Ali Mardan Domki took oath as Balochistan caretaker chief minister in a ceremony held at the Governor House in the provincial capital city.

Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar administered the oath to Domki.

Earlier,  Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar approved the name of Ali Mardan Domki as caretaker chief minister.

The name of Ali Mardan Domki for the Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan was finalized by the parliamentary committee of the government and the opposition. The summary of which was sent to the Governor for approval by the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly.

Now in the announcement issued by the Governor House, it has been said that the Government of Balochistan and the opposition have approved the appointment of Ali Mardan Domki as caretaker Chief Minister on the recommendation of the parliamentary committee.

It should be remembered that the government and the opposition could not agree on a single name for the caretaker chief minister of Balochistan.

Later, the matter was handed over to the parliamentary committee.

On the other hand, the Designated Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki will take the oath of office at 7 pm today.

Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony will be completed at 7:00 PM in the Governor’s House.

Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar to administrate oath of the post of caretaker chief minister of Balochistan. The parliamentary committee finalized the name of Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki.

Earlier, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki’s name was finalized but Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo refused to sign the summary.
