QUETTA: Justice Hashim Khan Kakar took oath as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court(BHC) here on Saturday.

Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar administered the oath to the chief justice in a ceremony held at Governor House.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by CM Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Judges of High Court, Provincial Ministers, Parliamentarians, Provincial Secretaries and Senior Lawyers.

On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a session of Senate on April 25, Thursday at 04:00 p.m. which was earlier convened for April 22.

The president summoned the session under Article 54 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release on Saturday.
