The first-year BDS results have been announced by UHS Lahore

The result of the first professional BDS annual examination 2020 was announced on Friday by the University of Health Sciences (UHS).

The first professional BDS yearly examination 2020 was held in March – April 2021.

A total of 983 students from various institutes took part in the examination. Five hundred and eighty-six students passed the exam, while three hundred and ninety-three students have failed.

Raheen Pasha of Multan Medical and Dental College, Multan, was given the first position with a score of 618 out of 700.

Ujala Mehdi, who got 598 marks, and Maleeha Zamir, who scored 597 points, secured second and third positions, respectively. Mehdi studied dentistry at the de ‘Montmorency College of Dentistry in Lahore, while Zamir studied medicine and dentistry at the FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry in Lahore.

Four students’ results were withheld.

According to the university, the overall cut-off percentage for first-year BDS students was 58.84 percent, with Akhter Saeed Medical and Dental College, Lahore, having the highest pass rate of any university on the UHS Lahore list.

Thirteen students received honors in Anatomy (including histology), 11 in Physiology, five in Oral Biology and Tooth Morphology, and nobody received honors in Biochemistry.

According to UHS Lahore, candidates who did not pass the exams should submit their admission forms before August 9, 2021, and with a double fee on August 16, 2021.

Supplementary examinations will begin on August 31, 2021.

Ministry Of Education Allows Educational Institutions To Conduct Exams

The Ministry of Education on Wednesday has allowed professional and educational institutions to conduct examinations.

According to the Ministry of Education, the examinations will be conducted in accordance with strict SOPs and NCOC guidelines.

It should be mentioned here that permission must be obtained from the Ministry of Education before conducting examinations.

Examination date, city, number of participants, centers will be informed, said Ministry of Education.

Moreover, the Ministry of Education will issue NOCs and SOPs within 24 hours of receiving the application.

Earlier today, National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has decided to reopen schools in districts with less than a 5% coronavirus positivity ratio.

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has announced a relaxation of Corona restrictions.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by NCOC chief Asad Umar in Islamabad.

It was decided that the staggered opening of educational institutions from June 7 — other than those opened from May 24.
